  1. Hmph, i spoke too soon. He's back to runny poops again but he still appears to be eating and he still goes nuts when i go into my room.
  2. Budgie eyelashes!! SO cute! :hap:

Nope, his feet are fine. :hap: Yep, sure i can post more photos of him....just remind me in 5 hours (that's when i'll be finished school) and i'll get some new ones.

:hap: I want it!! What a cutie......*quickly compares to blinkie*......no, sorry, i'll keep Blinks.
  5. I woke up to a happy Ozzie this morning dying to come out for a cuddle. :hap: He also only did healthy poops overnight so i changed the paper on the bottom and we'll see how he goes while i'm at school! I'm thinking that maybe now Ozzie's true personality will show. Asuming he was sick from when i got him that could be what's made him such a quiet budgie. I thought of a good thing about extended quarantine, this means they'll be meeting in the school holidays and i'll have way more time to give them both individual attention and introduce them properly.

:budgiedance: That's so cute!!! She's gorgeous!
  7. He's stuffed himself FULL now. Silly boy! I'm sure he'll get well soon.....the MAJOR pain about all this is i realise i should probably restart the quarantine time from when he appears well again. :budgiedance: I'm thinking i'll introduce them in the school holidays.
  8. okay, i'm finally here to report back (i was at my friends place). The vet was really great. He said it was one of three things: worms, bowel parasite, psittacosis (sp?). What impressed me most was he acknowledged that meds put in the water don't work too well (usually that's all we're given!). Ozzie got wormed with some stuff you put between their wings which they preen off. He also got *gasp* an injection of Megabac-S and we have also got some megabac-s to put in his water just as back up. I was so proud of my little guy, so brave, didn't squawk at all. :budgiedance: AND (he hadn't eaten all day) but i think the vet scared him into feeling better cause during the car ride home he started scoffing down his seed.
  9. I know what he is too! :dbb1:

    Looks good to me! :dbb1:
  11. They're about a 20min drive. So i think an hour and a half will be plenty. :ausb: He's not done any normal poops since i've been at school. Though he still gets all excited when i walk into the room. :dbb1:
  12. Well i guess that's something. Still, why say they can deal with birds when they really can't?!
  13. I'm not wanted!
  14. I've just got a buddy for Blinks so really we're in the same situation. If you don't want to breed i'd get a male which is about 6-8 weeks old. That way it should be super easy to tame during quarantine.
  15. Overnight he appeared to do normal poops but then this morning he went nuts with the just white bit and watery ones. Even if they go back to normal today he's definitely going to the vet later.
  16. You know, that's similar to what i was imagining when i posted that! :(Laughing out loud):
  17. Urgh! That's shocking, i wouldn't have paid....you could've looked in a book for yourself! Even the non-bird vet that i've been to a couple of times at least gets the budgie out of the cage and checks it over.

Carmz got hers too but they were smashed up. I want to get mine now! :bluebudgie:
  19. Yup, i will. :bluebudgie: Hopefully i'm being an anxious mummy and he's alright.

I also had trouble candling eggs but the ones with the pinkish tinge seemed to be fertile. :bluebudgie:
  21. Well at least it's compulsive about his appearance and skin health and not something odd.....like keeping his cage tidy. :bluebudgie:
  22. I think i want to take him to the vet. I changed the paper in his cage before i went to school and today he's done some perfectly normal ones but also several which are just the white bit and liquid. He's been sitting here beside me now for an hour and he's only done 2 poops, one strange and one normal. :ausb: He's always been quiet so i can really comment on any change in his activity levels. :bluebudgie: *edit* We've made a vet appointment tomorrow at 5pm, hope my little guy's alright.
  23. Ohhh....i wish i could visit too! Why do you live on the other side of Australia?? :bluebudgie: :ausb:

To me he looks like a boy. Very cute!
  25. It varies all the time, whether he's in his cage or out.
