Thanks. (Laughing out loud)! 80 budgies....that could be a struggle! I'd be happy to do one with a few on it for you though.

Lovey, Ozzie doesn't go in Blinkie's cage at all for now. I find that it causes problems with Ozzie's tameness (Blinkie doesn't give a stuff). I have tried luring Blinkie into his cage with Ozzie as the bait (so to speak) but even that won't work. I've been given a suggestion that i try to undo the behaviour by positive reinforcement. Reward good behaviour and ignore bad. So when it's time to be caged get some millet or bread or something yummy and get him to step up, reward, move towards cage, reward, etc until i'm at his cage and then try to get him to follow the treat in. It will take a while but i'm hoping it might work. The person who gave me this idea is clicker training her tiels and she's going to give me some hints to use clicker training with him. Hope it works.
  4. It just keeps growing and growing! :(Laughing out loud): I bet one day it'll just be like you have a big net over your whole backyard!

Wow! That looks fantastic! I can't wait to see some photos once the budgies have moved in.

I doubt the play gym will keep him off the floor! Blinkie's gym is practically a palace and he still prefers the floor.

Well the only thing that ever makes Blinkie zoom over as fast as he can is his mirror and even that's losing it's effect now. He prefers to be naughty.
  8. Well i am getting EXTREMELY frustrated with Rat (Blink). Everytime i need him to go in his cage he decides it's not time yet and no matter what i (or anyone else) try he just won't go in. I just spent about 15 minutes trying to bribe him into his cage with mirrors, trying to throw a sheet over him, trying to lure him into a corner so i could grab him. I hate chasing him around like i often have to because it's encouraging him as he thinks it's a fantastic game. Sometimes it nearly makes me cry with frustration!!! It's a very serious problem as if this problem gets worse i won't be able to get him out for a quick 30 min fly before school in the mornings or at any other time when i don't have hours to sit and supervise him. On the rare occasion that he will go in his cage without a fuss i tell him how good he is and sit and praise him for a little while but it's getting less and less often that he will go in without a game. I don't know what to doooo. Another problem which i may as well complain about while i'm here is that he's getting really cheeky and always trying to play on the floor. With mum not being able to see and the dogs this is obviously not at all safe and i always chase him off the floor as soon as he flies down. The problem is that he knows it's naughty. All i have to do is stand up and take a step in his direction and he'll fly to his cage landing with a VERY EVIL happy dance. As soon as i turn around to sit down he swoops straight back down! Idiot budgie! What should i do?

((((hugs)))) That's so sad. It's terrible losing them so young. Keep an eye on the remaining two, if mum isn't keeping them warm perhaps you should bring them inside and rear them yourself.
  10. WOW!!! So jealous! What a beautiful baby!
  11. I want to make one too!!! I'm broke though so wont be able to go and buy the supplies for ages.
  12. Guy, Rubin, Carter, Danny
  13. That's better! Hehe, he's hyper!

(Laughing out loud)! Mostly, sometimes he flew onto the camera too.
  15. Awww. How can you resist that face?!
  16. First one didn't work. But the second was cute!
  17. I was the same....Tweets died. Got Paulie and couldn't tame him, wanted a friend, adopted a 3rd budgie, she wanted a friend, oh just one more budgie then and the cycle just keeps going and going and going. I bet you've already started trying to work out how many budgies you could possibly fit in that cage! :(Laughing out loud):
  18. You can get 'tickers' from www.tickerfactory.com or www.tickercentral.com
  19. He's got really dark cheek patches....does that mean anything?
  20. I think you could be right there. Ozzie's the silent (stuck up, won't play) type and he bosses Blinkie. I can't wait till Pretty and *un-named* meet.
  21. I've had baby cinnamons though and they've never had red eyes....ever.
  22. Well, here's a baby violet (right): http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Baby_...13032004008.jpg And Blinkie (cobalt) as a baby: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Baby_...ie/baths019.jpg I kinda think that the last picture of *insert name here* ( )he looks violet like Pat in the first picture...
  23. Well he's not a mauve, i'm not sure whether he's cobalt or violet...
  24. Well as soon as you have a name for him (*whispers* he looks like a Scooter to me, or a Ham) I'll make you a new one. Name Suggestions (other than the two i like): Bambi, Mikey, Randall, Mojo, Jamie.....umm, that's all i can think of.
  25. He's sooooooo CUTE!!! I want him! That second shot is just so adorable.
