(Laughing out loud)!! That was exactly what i was thinking. Last night was when i first noticed it, i looked over to see Blinkie preening Ozzie's head and lots of little feathers poking out funny, so i said to Ozzie "You do know he's messing up your hair?" but i just got looked at. :ausb: So i guess he doesn't care. :dbb1:

You may be comforted to know that there is no way in the world i can pet or give head scratches to Blinkie. And Ozzie's growing out of head scratches too. :dbb1:

Well i do care but it is a name and i can't stop you using it. I just thought i'd be more specific why i mind. It's one of my pet hates when people do the same thing as me....like if i were to get a particular something and then one of my friends got the same thing....grrr! ANNOYING! :ausb: I also like that i've never come across another budgie on any of the forums i go one called Blinkie. It's cool that you love Blinks so much that you want to name your bird after him but couldn't you find something similar to rather than exactly the same? Like Lin has a budgie called Winkie which i suggested because Winkie looks like Blinkie.... :dbb1:

Blinkie's being such an angel to Ozzie. His new favourite activity is preening Ozzie's head but instead of preening the feathers into place once he's done there's always at least one feather poking out stupidly! :(Laughing out loud): Blinkie thinks he's being so HELPFUL and FRIENDLY, it's so cute.
  10. this week in the shopping i got endive and bokchoy instead of spinach and this morning the boys tried edive....and LOVED it!

Twinkie... I just also thought of Blonkie and Stinkie....those are my 2 favourite nicknames for Blink.

I'd just keep the name. I've had a girl called Jeremy and i have a boy called Lilly....doesn't seem to trouble them too much! :(Laughing out loud):

Well it's not like i can stop you but i would rather you didn't. Blinkie likes being the only Blink on the forum, i feel so mean saying this. :hap:

Really? A pied spot?? I've never seen a spangle with a spot.
  15. They're gorgeous! They look so huggable!
  16. I wouldn't go if it was a choice between going and leaving my budgies on their own for 4 days. That's just me though. I think if your hubby can put up with dogs on a camping trip a budgie wont be anymore hassle. Dad never lets me bring Mickey on hols with us.

  18. Neighbours who could drop by and check on him?
  19. Bea replied to Bea's topic in Budgie Pictures
I'm sure you could come up with more original names...

The spot on the back of Ozzie's head is a pied spot and has nothing to do with being spangle. Spangles don't have this spot.

Just thought i'd point out that the two middle long feathers are recent tail feathers and then the next ones out are his baby tail feathers. The end of them is stuck at exactly the same place so the difference in length is accurate! Isn't it cute that he used to have weeny tail feathers.
  22. (Laughing out loud)! That's exactly my relationship with Ozzie! :(Laughing out loud):

They're still not going to permanently move in together for a little while, i'll just keep putting them together for short periods of time while i'm around to supervise and see how they go.
  24. Oh, (Laughing out loud)! Yup, he's my gorgeous little spangle pied.
  25. Bea posted a topic in Budgie Pictures
Well they've not moved in together quite yet but just a minute ago i did put Ozzie in Blinkie's cage just to see if Blinkie reacted positively, unbothered or negatively and Blinkie proved to have a bit of a split personality about the whole idea but overall he accepted Ozzie in his house quite well. He would squawk at Ozzie for sitting on his perch and then go to nip at Oz but Ozzie would tilt his head and Blinkie would end up preening his head! :(Laughing out loud): Blinkie pigging out while Ozzie takes over Blinks favourite perch. A little lovin'.
