  5. If he can stand on the broken leg maybe it's basically better now and he wont need the splint back on!
  6. I'd ring the vet in the morning to see what to do. I don't know what cage he's in now but i would put him in your small cage so he can't move around too much. Hope he's okay!
  7. I didn't know that your birds had a second clutch!! The baby is a cinnamon - but not the others you posted. :bluebudgie:

How much are you expecting the aviary to sell for? It must be worth alot!
  9. Blinkie's out-lamed himself again. This morning i bought three stainless steel food cups for Blinkie and Ozzie (a seed/pellet dish each plus a treat dish). I got them thinking they'd be heaps easier to clean than the plastic ones they had before. Well, i took them over to the cage after washing them to see what the boys thought of these new dishes and guess what? Blinkie saw his REFLECTION in the SHINY new food cups and started flirting with them! He's such an idiot! I've put them in now with their food in them and Ozzie's jumped straight on for a snack (eating is Ozzie's favourite sport) while Blinkie is now SCARED to stand on one to eat. He was leaning out from a perch trying to put his head in. :ausb: I can't say i thought of the whole reflection thing when i was buying them though, (Laughing out loud)! I guess i should've with Blinkie as one of my boys. :(Laughing out loud):
  10. It's pumpkin, sweet potato, potato, carrot, and broccoli.
  11. Yeah - he's a sumo budgie alright. :hap:
  12. Here are some photos i took yesterday of Blinkie, Ozzie and Cookie feasting on some veggie mash. :hap: Ozzie is too good to eat from the dish - he wants Blinkie to hand over his share! And when Blinkie tells him to get lost... He goes and sulks in the corner And here is my favourite photo from yesterday! I somehow managed to capture Blinkie AND his reflection in the desk!!
  13. wHAT'S THE BAR SPACING THOUGH? (sorry, caps) It looks way too big. Max for budgies is 1/2"

  16. I can't help but laugh when i see that!
  17. It snowed here too a little while ago! Snow in NOVEMBER!!!! Who would've believed it.
  18. I have a question, today in Canberra it's *lots of bad words* cold. To be precise it's about 12C down from more like 30C lately. It's cloudy, windy and rainy and i'm worried that this stupid and SUDDEN drop in temperature will have a bad effect on my aviary budgies. I know that budgies can cope with low temps but not sudden changes. I've just gone out and pulled the plastic flaps down and pegged them shut to hopefully keep out as much wind and rain as possible but is there anything else i should be doing. I don't have heating or anything for the aviary because this doesn't usually happen, (Laughing out loud)!
  19. I'm glad he doesn't have to deal with an illness on top of being a feather duster.

I believe so - her new head feathers are coming in grey rather than white.
  24. First one to visit the veggie bowl is Miss Cookie but will she keep the bowl to herself? It would seem not! Blinkie wanders over to see what's on the menu. He seems a bit concerned about getting too near to Miss Greedy Pants there - i think he's afraid she'll shake veggies on him Ozzie comes along and kicks Cookie away giving the budgies a chance to have a bite to eat But that doesn't keep Cookie away for long! Is it possible?!?! Could Ozzie be......*dramatic music* SHARING FOOD?!?!! Blinkie takes over the veggie bowl But then Cookie comes along and he makes a run for it Ozzie's not too sure about Cookie either And soon all is well in Cookie land as she has the veggies to herself But Blinkie's back!!! (hahahaha - i just used three B words!) So Cookie SHAKES herself and showers him in food *chuckles* I now have the bowl to myself again.... Or so she thinks! In the end Ozzie is victorious!
  25. I think she's a rainbow - rainbow is yf2, opaline, clearwing (or maybe it's dilute)...which if my memory is right then your hen is a rainbow.
