  1. You would be okay, with a garden shed modifying it. You can stiffen the whole thing using wood or metal. the steel sheds are made to stand the weight of the roof, which is quite amazing. once you remove the sheets of iron you will need to use C-Channeled steel on the edges, pop rivet 4 of the same size as your cut out windows for mesh top bottom and both side this should stiffen the shed. You can then pop rivet your wire mesh to the C-channeled steel frame. You can dyno bolted your shed into a slab of cement some steel L plates. How many meters you wanna go? You are better of starting with a garden shed, much cheaper than manufacturing your own frame, then colour bonding it. found this thread for you. http://forums.budgie...showtopic=18351

  9. look on gumtree for them you may come across some like I did.
  10. wow glad I searched this and I did remove it today.
  11. number them as I was just thinking of doing that with The Teddy's eggs as I have easy access now I have my breeding cabinets.
  12. Here is my new banks the roof is temporary weighed downed with car tires, will be making it allot higher so it connects to neighbors roof and will be fixing his mistake he made, he should of went under his guttering with his sheets of iron, now I have to fabricate a L shape bit of iron to pop rivet to guttering and our sheets of iron so water don't leak through. Teddy's are in the top breeding cabinet she laid today. did have Mrs & Mr teddy in the white flight cages with a nest box like apples. top ones have creamino & sky blue cinnamon hen in them with no nest box now as they aren't needed because I am going to use both these cages for separation of my young juveniles. In that green cage Apples & Bart are going to be busy next few weeks raising a family. added some photos on imageshack of my setup today.

Finally another one has hatched. For some reason the other hatched egg shell was over the top of the unhatched egg, is this just a random thing or does others do this lol. Mrs teddy Laid 10 days thats pretty good after putting them in that new cage, this will be there final clutch as winter will be rest.
  14. you should candle these eggs that didn't hatch. I think they breed as much as they wanna breed. The guy up the road from me said he has a hen who will lay and lay. he really wants her to stop but she won't. She seems in good health too for a hen that lays allot.
  15. I seen some Wild Type at a show in Tasmania. i was pretty devastated I couldn't buy them but I can hunt were they come from so I can attain some.
  16. I think I might breed her next season with my YF Opaline Greywing. He seems very attracted to her while she was in the aviary. Then I might consider getting a albino. Its kinda risky if they don't like each other.

I'm just worried about other wild birds spreading disease. Come on you should push him his only gotta strain his hands doing a few pop rivets and use a cutting disc on the steel lol

Day 3 the egg shell has been eaten. he/she looks bigger I think
  19. Would I get albinos out of her if I pair up with?
  20. My council has laws against what size slabs of cement you lay. I am not laying any slabs As for building a shelter I don't think there is a problem either as long as I don't lay slab. My next door neighbor has a nice chicken coop. it would make a good aviary its so big. He hasn't finished putting his mesh on yet but dam his done a good job. I don't think I will have any problems with my neighbors both sides of me. I asked the lady next door if my birds are noisy she looked at me and said what budgies. She said the ones in the tree's are noisy and hopes they move on soon. We get plovers land on our roof all the time here, The only bird I hate is them plovers, they are up all night. My breeding room shall be quite, I built a recording booth, so I should be able to sound proof it so the noses go a certain direction. lol
  21. The man I bought my breeding cages off told me that green hens are better at sitting on eggs than other colored birds. Is this true? He told me some breeders take their eggs and replace them with eggs from other clutches that aren't good at sitting. Also why we are at it does anyone know the a dutch author that wrote allot of budgies books?
  22. her eyes are red. I would say creamino lol just had a look at some and she has all the characteristics.
  23. hey Phill have you worked out why this delay is? is it lighting? is it warmer?
