hey went and checked my mrs teddies eggs. she had 1 in the concave the rest all pushed to the corner and she has hardly been in the nest box all day. what is she trying to say. Tilly + Sonic - 4 eggs 8/3/2013 - she must of laid this day instead of the day i crossed out below. 10/3/2013 - checked in the afternoon still 1 egg. checked in afternoon 1 + egg 12/3/2013 - laid woo hoo 14/3/2013 - 4 eggs. the teddy's - 5 eggs 4/3/2013 - this one I found broken at the bottom of the cage. not sure what happened. She probably accidentally broke it. she could of even been trying to move it to the concave and it broke. dunno trivial lol. 6/3/2013 - she is sitting on it. 8/3/2013 - all good today no egg tossing. 10/3/2013 - we're at 3 eggs minus the broken. 12/3/2013 - found out she lays around 4.30 14/3/2013 - update well 7.22PM watched this be laid. does this mean this is last egg because it come late. apples & bart - eggs 2 12/3/2013 - worked out the dates now. 14/3/2013 - she is sitting on them tight today.

Well tonight went out and check the budgies. tilly was in nestbox apples was out of nestbox, understandable being first egg mrs teddy on her 4th egg out of nestbox hmmm are these eggs no good now?

Hey this egg was broken and there was no yolk so meaning it was done in the box. Well I am not sure if Apples laid today or yesterday but I found a egg. so thats 3 hens laying.

i have my nestbox setup in one of them avione cages the long cages. Its got 3 self-tapping curtain hooks for hanging lace. the entrance is facing the front of the cages. so its in the far back corner. So the lid of the box can only be opened from the top. I wish I had time to make a new nestbox that was going to give me access. Seems its kinda my first second clutch of eggs I don't really wanna risk moving nestbox. I can see how many eggs she lays. but its challenging.

I was thinking about getting into app building. I have no job and used to program in my high school days and forum building days. what features would be key to designing something like this? what fields do you require ? what would be a maximum to sell the app for? I have one idea floating that is syncing with a computer based bird breeding program thats already out. whats a common bird breeding program? I would be doing one for android. I am unsure if its straight forward in porting the app to Iphone. The thing that gets me with Iphones, is apple hold you to ransom, least with android you have some flexibility as to were you buy you're apps and what version of the phone they work on.

Hi when the eggs all hatch can I move the nestbox to the bottom of the cage. I haven't got decent access to my breeding boxes this time. the lid opens up ways and not side ways. So I am thinking, if I wait till they hatch would it be possible to move the nestbpox. will the hen have a problem with this?

any idea of mr teddy and mrs teddy possible outcomes? I Did have one of her daughters I think, but I exchanged her for a male because I had too many females. I am sure it was her daughter because they hung around. I Have posted wrong bird. This is the suspect daughter that I do not have anymore. Today Tilly laid again. but she is in the aviary, unlike the other birds breeding separate. I had thought she went out of condition, but must of come back into condition. so here is the count and dates update. Well today I had to take out tilly. I don't think she was in-condition. Bart has a new mate and after I put her in the cage bart done a bit of beak pecking for 3 mins, then mounted her. twice I seen this happen. How perfect. I knew these would pair up fast because they were the first birds to be a pair in the aviary, until she went out of condition, so she must be in condition again.

hey where you got the breeding cabinets I'd make sure that is mouse proof. like the unused cavities or you could put cupboards in there. so its not unused space

I dunno photos are bad as you said, I just would sit back and relax. Looks like you went out at night and took photos. Sometimes we need to let the budgies do their thing. I notice you are colony breeding, I think the best way to do colony breeding is going in there once every 3 days. but still change the water every day. my water is close to the entrance.
