its both eyes now. Have done the teabag thing to him. Hope his not blind in both eyes. there is redness on a eyelid photos are hard to get.

I was hoping the Opaline would be male as my step son wanted this budgie to take to his dad's house, but he doesn't seem to mind now. So the Normals would be Male?

Its like a eye infection or someone has been picking at it. the eye lid is bloody. I am worried he is blind in that eye.

hey Nadene in the post box in the top left corner there is button that will edit the editing mode. Really handy when posting lots of photos, it will stop the photos from loading up and you can space out your photos easier then add captions.

as I thought glad my breeding cabinets aren't near my aviary, only my nursery is. I reckon that is a good idea. i need to upgrade my aviary and only have limit space in yard. Nadene I think you have misread what his saying. He wants to know if he can put his cabinets in the aviary and have them locked in the cabinets. The rest of the birds would be flying around the aviary. so other birds would be free to fly around and disturb the pairs breeding in cabinets. clinging to the side of the breeding cabinets.

You are better off keeping your breeding cages separate to aviary. the idea won't work. Like that plan I posted in that picture in your 'Day One' topic. That plan I posted is your best bet. you can acquire more breeding cabinets when you feel you need them. You could maybe do a cement plinth around the edging, mixed with broken glass, just don't get to drunk in process lol. then fill the rest with dirt. then your paver sand. then your paver's.

Hope it helps. 1. this window can be used as a opening entrance in and out for your birds you could make this window so it opens and shuts to allow you to catch your birds easier and also keep them out of bad weather. 2. you could have this bit here big or small up to you on how many breeding cabinets you are doing. 3. your wall of breeding cabinets. depending how many pairs you are interested in putting down.

Thats a good idea. So when you say breeding boxes you mean breeding box or breeding cabinet/cage (not sure whos cabinets these are but they are nice.)

Hey guys little bit of a update with some photos. I took tilly and bart out of the aviary with their chicks and put them in a cage above apples. Hey so are you using the room bit as a bird room or as a hole aviary? if as a hole aviary. Make the perches inside room higher than the ones out side. Apparently birds will sleep on higher perches. so if the weather is bad they will sleep in the room.

hey welcome to the forums. Notice you say you started with 2 budgies. Now you have a total of 7. I wouldn't go inbreeding these you should probably go shopping for some partners for these 5 birds that don't have partners. I would look at a few threads on inbreeding. Hope to see some photos soon
