She just called me telling me she took him to the vet today and she was told that , the medicine shes been giving it was fine that it will get better and to hand feed it so he can get better that it appeared to have crank i think that's bull**** from the vet to tell her that The closest avian vet to our city is 100 Miles away from here so she took him in to a regular vet, is there any meds we can buy online or something to treat that ?

she says that her budgie has been vomiting for 3days now, he seems thinner but he still eats his poop looks normal to me she took him to a pet shop that specializes in birds and they gave her something called Marvel Aid by ecotrition it says on the label Broad spectrum Antibiotic Drinking solution contains Sulfadimethoxine 15mg The directions say to administer solution as the sole source of drinking water, and to use it for 5 days to treat ruffled feathers,sleepiness(listlessness),diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, nasal discharge and difficulty in breathing. I was reading some posts and they say something about this condition being called cranker when a budgie vomits his food i was told that the budgie doesn't drink the solution so she has been giving it to him with a syringe is this fine to do? Is there anything else that can be given?? Thank you

okay I just set him up in his own cage covered 3-4 of the cage with a blanket and put a black light 40w ( that's the only light I was able to find at home that was low, is that fine ?

I can't today it's Thursday night it's 11:45pm I'll have to wake up early tomorrow morning, I always cover the cages at night time with a blanket, and in the morning my brother uncovers all cages before he leaves

He was thinner than he is I get him out his cage everyother day and I usually feel a full crop, I'll be putting him in a separate cage tomorrow thou, in the case that it is megabacteria is there anything I can try and do to help him? I can't afford to take him to the vet

Yes the regular baby parakeet is for my sibling hes been teaching it to step up and go to his shoulder, the show type are the ones i hope to breed i thought it was because it was cold early in the morning, when i first got him he wouldn't really eat then he started eating a lot and a few days ago when weather started to be more cool he don't really eat much till the afternoon when its warm that when i really see him eating a lot, since i work from home i have a chance to be checking up on them all day and that's what ive noticed are there any suggestions on what i can do to see if he'll get better Yes i did get them all from the same place but at different dates the blue one and yellow one i purchased the same day i did have those 3 all in a separate room far from the others

These are things I've learned by reading on how to breed em 1. Are they in breeding condition?? 2. Are they moulting? 3. Do you have cuttlebone and mineral block ? 4. Do you think they feel safe where you have your birds setup? Another most important thing is to be patient birds or any other pet are not machines you can't force them to be breeding and laying eggs when you want, just be patient

You guys are right insted of giving a small detail about the issues it be best to write as much as possible in order to recieve better solutions and for you guys to have a better understanding of the problem. Everyday I check there seed dish put new seeds change there water and check for anything new and unusual in my birds, that's why when I saw white droppings I got concerned, and decided to post it here, I clean the bottom of there cages every day so today if I see regular droppings does that mean that they might be okay now?..

Ive been feeding my budgies apples everyday for the past week, and Ive noticed there droppings are white now, is it because of the apples? they dont really eat seeds anymore there seed bowls are pretty much full they prefer apples over seeds, should i stop giving them apples for a while? Thanks
