Hi guys and gals. Just wanted to know what the max number of budgies could fit in this aviary as I don't want them to be cramped. Go to the website http://www.classicpe...losures.com.au/ Click Bird Aviaries My one is the "All Purpose" BA636 I reckon around 10 maximum!

The aviary will be placed on my veranda. Above my veranda grows a wisteria. It is easily a metre thick and even in the thunderstorms we've been having down here, you only get a little wet. The back is enclosed and so is one of the sides. The side that isn't enclosed is facing a window to the house, so no rain can get in. Our veranda is completely covered in thick wisteria so hardly any wind come in. It also keeps the extreme heat out and cool in. Also, how many budgies would be suitable in this aviary? Does any one know of any private budgie breeders in the Eastern Melbourne area?

Hi guys and gals. For christmas I am getting an aviary. I am VERY VERY VERY excited. I am going to get some budgies from a local budgerigar breeder. This summer is probably gonna be quite hot and I know that budgies, especially young ones, can suffer from the heat. Basically the question I wanna ask is: " Is it O.K to put young budgies in an outdoor aviary during the months of January and February?" A reply soon would be GREAT!

I have read that breeding a brother budgie with his sister (and vice-versa) can be bad. Now I am pretty sure that in my aviary it won't happen, but what happens if it does? What are some techniques to stop it? Just so you know I am still pretty new at breeding.....
  13. It will be interesting to see what the babies turn out. Post some pics when they born and some when they have all their feathers
