  3. Really?, but i love my Charlie boy and i'm not 100% sure on how old Bruce is. Can i ask why you think Bruce is the better choice.

  5. Charlie the intended is in condition he recently moulted,and has been seen chating up the avairy so maybe i'll try again and see what happens.
  6. I was busily doing the dishes today and i happen to glance in the direction of the avairy and saw two of the budgies mating,now i've never seen any of the budgies mating out there before so out i went to see who it was.And much to my dismay it was my very first hen i bought in the flock mating not with her intended boyfriend but a ring-in this is her and her intended and this is the ring-in now i don't think they were very succesful and i don't won't these two to breed but i have previously tried breeding her to her intended,but she has never shown any interest before do you think if i tried pairing them up again i might have success this time now that i've caught her in the act?

  9. It's really cute Ratzy i've only looked a couple of times so unsure if it's been feed yet but i'll check again tonight. Luckily the egg shell was wrapped around an infertile egg it almost had a vaccum seal it was wedged on that tight.

  11. Hi Everyone, I've had my first ever pinky hatch this morning :bliss: but the shell has wrapped around another egg,I remember reading somewhere Kaz saying to remove it from the other egg, but not sure how to do it. Can i use a pair of tweezers and carefully flick it off?

I tried to buy the little light the Liv has for candelling and my hardware store sold out,(should of bought it when i saw them before christmas) so i bought one that looks like a miniture torch with 7 little l.e.d lights and i think it's to bright.Will try to find something more appropriate tomorrow.
  22. Thanks Kaz and Ratzy, I think the three are inferile as she laid her last egg on the 28th and as it's her first clutch maybe not such a bad thing.

  24. Hi just took a photo of my budgies eggs and just need it confirmed that 3 are fertile, as you can see from the photo i think she has lined them up with fertile one's in front and infertile behind.
