Molting
Yep Nice explanation Dean, I will add one thing, If you have read Binks book , he says to pull out all the flight and tail feathers of Fm birds, Well I tried this but when I was done I sprayed the birds with F10 , they do bleed a bit but it stops after the spray. So far the birds have made a full recovery including tails. Kaz I was going to vote for Deans Post but the vote thing wouldnt work , Does the function work??

Some Of Splats 2010 Birds
Nice DF's there, I like how the first Two their body width doesnt change as it comes into the head , Just all width right through the head . Flecking, Yeah can be a problem , but I think of it as a small fault , I dont really know anout how the inheretance works with the flecking , if it is inhereated at all?. One thing I do is breed with the hens and only use the best of the best flecked cocks to clean hens where possible.

Needing Help Please
If this is a serious Thread/post. I would say buying over one hundred birds straight up ?? Asking what you need to feed them ?? What do you put in water ?? Do you have an avairy??, or just cabinets ?? Have you kept birds before ?? , going by the questions you have asked I dont know.

Are Auctions Killing Our Hobby
PT , you have hit the nail on the head. Im a builder and 10 years back was building single storey houses on 600 square metre blocks , now am building Two Storey houses on 450 square metre blocks. there is no room for avairys. Also Local councils are now regulating or looking at what animals and pets you can have in your yard. Beginners shouldnt be buying quality birds from open breeders , they should be buying pet shop culls/ birds from intermediate and open breeders. We live in a society that we have created through technology where young people have grown up with everything and everything is instant. Our hobby is not an instant hobby , it is a life passion and ive seen many join my local club to sellout and leave in a couple of years. I dont think you will ever be able to keep these people in the club. Our club raises funds by doing sausage sizzels at bunnings , this also puts the awareness of the hobby out there in the public, I recently built a web site for our club to allow local people with budgies to be able to find our club.

Commercial Bird Pellets Good Nutrition?
Doesnt matter what context its in , she is recommending them , Whether she is getting paid or not buy the company that makes them. She has recommended them. It goes against all the stuff she had written about , She should have stayed with fresh, natural was best and leave pellets out altogether.. Anyway , its only an opinion.

My Birds Have Lice
I make it in a bucket and dunk the whole bird.

Commercial Bird Pellets Good Nutrition?
I started reading this and thought yep I agree , then I flicked ahead and read the last bit . "I recommend BirD-elicious" . Sorry Dr Jeanie Thomason you just commercialized yourself . So all the stuff you wrote before isnt worth a grain of salt.
