well done! yiu've got a good routine to follow. i have a similar breeding cage size to your ones, and they were meant for canaries but i am now supposing they are okay size for the birds which is good :

ive read this forum and learnt how budgies can see ultraviolet and thats why they have cheek patches that stand out during courtship etc. some birds i have dont have as big patches on their cheeks or are half covered in white even they are lutino.. The question id like to ask is whether if a male budgie has more pronounced ultraviolet cheek patches, are they more likely to have a partner and breed and do you think a hen would prefer that cock then one without one or half covered?????? thanks

also here is the FUNNIEST video i have ever seen!!!!!! At the end the budgie is chirping to the red light of the camera so you have to watch the wihole thing its called spikey doing the moonwalk

hmm..toughie are they too old or something or out of breeding con or moulting probably they just dont want to breed like i said before i would split them then put them back together

they might not be breeding because they dont like eachother, theyre moulting or they dont like theyre setting. I would split them up, pair both of them each with another budgie in September and then next breeding season during summer pair them back up. If you do pair each of them with another guy, let them have only one round or else there wont be time for breeding with eachother you could also split them up and just wait for a month or two then put them back together

Okay everyone, im going to start a new game. :sad: coming back from soccer today, i come into the house ready to eat. But then idecided to go have a shower first. i walk into the bathroom, and first thing i do is check on my sick budgie which i now call Bella. She isnt moving. Shes cold. Shes lifeless. What did i do wrong? im now crying because the poor bird had to suffer. i gave the medicine a heat bag, i still dont get it. Why di god have to take her away from me// I hope she is safe in heaven RIP Bella

OMGGGGGG!!!!! my bird is alive and i have taken her home with me giving her 0.05 mls of baytrill drops twice a day! she is still looking a bit sick but it seems that shes gonna be okay the vet said it must ffrom being bullied by other birds iam very lucky and happy i was over the moon she is now in a cage covered with towel and a heat bag next to her a hospital cage is what saved her, so im running to get one

/?????? how did my parents get involved Of course they let me do that stuff and they arent ignorant or anything and they care alot about my hobby its just that the past week this person is staying at our house and she is a bit harder to take care of etc, my dad is gone to melbourne for awhile, and my mum has to take care of all of us and my mum need s to do jobs around dont get the wrong idea... thanks fo rthe nice post gb thats a nice mooto to live by and i am definetly saving on the side from now on for this type of stuff
