Vetafarm Breeding Aid
Yep, it's fine... I use Vetafarm hand-rearing mixture for my tiel's and they end up being nice healthy large bird's.... so it's fine to use breeding aid...

Uh Oh.. Where Did That Plastic Go?!
Their's always a different solution to everything :sadsorry: i do not think cosmo would have eaten it.... Did you check in his water? his seed? bottom of his tray? on the floor? could be anywhere if your talking about the fine peice of bendy metal confined by a bit of cardboard strip kinda thing then he most likely would have chewed it to bit's and then dropped the hardly visible metal strip on the ground.

My Birds Very Ill Now
Aww you poor thing, I would do what's best for him, if he's in pain then put him down, by the heavy breathing he could have respiratory problems also... hate to say it but putting him down is most likely the best choice.

Breeding Pairs 2009
i've had this happen once so far... the hen helped it out of the egg very early and the chick had its cord attached to the egg for about half an hour when it was out of the shell... amazingly it survived .... it's best if the hen lets the baby do the hard work by cracking the shell open and at least getting some of its body out.... that way the baby is able to stretch and mobilize it's bone's as muscle so it is able to cope coming into the spaceful world coming from a tiny egg....

Hawk Delema
Good to hear the hawk hasn't come back, not only is it a relief for your bird's, but its a relief to your wallet as well

What Do I Do?
take out the parent who is the problem and see how it goes... if the other parent doesnt feed due to not having the other parent with him then you may have to foster.... and if foster turn's out bad... then your uncle may have to hand-rear it ....otherwise it will starve

Budgies And Quails
Yes they do, Except quail eat the seed whole, they do not husk the seed like the budgie's do... so if your dish is up high all the dropped seed get's eaten whole by the quail.... which is good cause their's no messy husk left behind.... (hence why their called aviary vacuum cleaner's)

Having A Little Too Much Fun...
