To keep a disabled bird,because it makes a lovely companion pet.that is the poorest reason I have ever heard of.The poor thing can do nothing else.BUY A STUFFED TOY & let the poor thing be put to rest. To encourage,people to keep a bird with no feet or any other restriction,where they rely on you to do every thing for them is CRUEL. "Eagle" relies on me for everything.

An elderly friend told me how much budgies love native grass, boy was she right. You can find it at many unkempt sites, for me, there is plenty under the lemon tree! Best described as looking like miniature stalks of wheat, "eagle" loves not only the seeds but chewing the stalks as well. Be careful not to take any that may have been sprayed and naturally give a quick rinse under the tap. Enjoy.

Hi cory, the forum generally seem to go with the more space the better, i would think from those cage sizes perhaps up to six give or take a" fighter" or two, most important is that they all get on! It seems that most fighters are the ladies re. breeding issues so perhaps keep the sexes separated? Good luck.
