At the risk of repeating myself i told you what to do ...the "bird lady of adelaide" gave me that information. If i knew you or your friend was going to imprison him I would not have spoken. Krosp is spot on, why not try to set a good example? A quick clean and some veggies and you may see a change in bird and owner. Don't bring in the heat, they will guess "who done it" If all else fails i like your bird napping plan, perhaps during a boozy party? DON'T GET CAUGHT

Mix honey water, that is, just to the taste, he will soon go through his body wait in that each day, plus cut apple for him into quarters, gently drag the apple under his beak, most likely hasn't tried that yet! he now has all he needs i believe. Normally they have been hit by a car. I nursed one for a week before he was ready to leave. After two days he started flying to my arm! They love being looked after by a kind person. Good Luck.

Just the standard black spots Nerwen, standard white head, very normal exept the color. I honestly had no other way of describing it... will definately post a picture if successful. Thought i would keep them in separate cages but in the same room for wild fly by sessions...? I wouldn't like to lose my new "best friend" for sure...can always keep them in separate rooms.

I would love to know if this boy i saw in a pet shop today is a violet, exactly like Liz Taylor's eyes he was, all in one solid color. I now wish i had grabbed him [had no cash...sigh] If he is still there tomorrow he's mine!

It has happened once or twice now that when "eagle" gets frightened he flies straight for and lands on me, for protection i suppose...so heart warming. Not so the poop i now have to clean from my screen...better let it harden i guess...?

Perhaps he is very smart and needs additional stimulation plus one on one time. Is he tame? [preens while sitting on your shoulder] Look for some every day items to use as toys which cost nothing, i have read posts which highly recommend cardboard rolls from toilet paper, stuffed with treats, post was captive foraging i think. My bloke doesn't like grapes that much but adores chewing the bunch when the grapes have been removed...

What is the idea with the lime? And for a small one budgie cage, is newspaper the go?
