  1. a yellowface type 2 grey and clearwing or dilute.
  2. aww they are too cute for words.
  3. Not yet Daz, nothing jumped out at me for a name I did a last get a picture (camera back from family)
  4. Olive and grey greens are not the same, olive is a green bird with TWO darkfactors. A grey green is as you said a bird with a grey gene and a green gene (okay Daz a yellow gene ) matched with a blue you get visual greys.

The flight do look a bit lighter but cinnamon should be brown all over including check spots and I don't see any brown there.
  6. You flatter me Daz, I didn't see any either just going on what Dingo asked. If you look at my post again it says IF.
  7. Yep Yep. Hope all will go to plan, I must have forgotten how small they are These two haven't chewed into their cuttlebone so this morning I shaved some into their fresh food and egg mix just to make sure they are getting some.

very cute Daz Looks like Vagas turned dark, i can't see any cinnamon signs on the wings now. I can see how snowy got named Do you think you have another blue spangle there?
  9. becuase no one ye has found a way to remove the yellow from the face area but still in the body to make the green. (kinda like reverse yellowface) I think it's possible.
  10. Yep I've heard of this beforem mottled is talking aobut the wings and like the yellow face type two which add more yellow with each moult this gene adds more black feathers as the bird ages up. I believe the are with recessive pieds. I would have to reread my book to see if I'm right with that or not :(Laughing out loud):
  11. grey green and olve look almost the same so it's a bit hard to tell. On your bird does it have a slight grey tinge to the feathers around the vent or under the wings? That might point to a grey green rather than olive if it does. And Rainbow I think opaline too looking at the wings. What does this means?: Grey-green or olive is talking about the colour on the body of the bird Opaline is talking about the wings and how the edges of the shell patterns are the same colour as the body rather than yellow. As to the bue I would say greywing, I don't think they are light enough for clearwing. What does this mean?: The blue is simply s/he is blue in colour the greywing is talkinga bout the wings that are a grey colour rather than the normal black found on budgies.
  12. That's it! you guys where jinxing me with the questions Tootie laid and egg today. Not sure when the box was empty this morning. I almost missed it in the corner (Laughing out loud). I think this is the first time i saw her out and away from the box this morning. But at last something has happened now just to hope that it's fertile. Actually I remember now she didn't want to leave the box this morning when I tapped the box, I even got to see her sitting in it and normaly she jumps out when she hears me, since I talk while walking up to the cage so as not to scare them.
  13. green variety of eithr pied are green and yellow. Daz's george is a green recessive pied. Bea's Buzz is a green variety pied.
  14. she is a cutie :grbud: Normal blues and dominant pieds is what you will get. The females will be opaline if your male is.
  15. Is it just me or can you see an egg tooth on his beak in the second picture?
  16. Ye he can be opaline as well as dominant pied. Sky blue means he doesn't have any dark factor genes and can not give any to his babies to make them darker. What is mom?
  17. I don't know PM eterri she might have an idea for you. The only thing I could think off was the shelters in your area, might be able to help tell you who to call.
