Seed Types
Yeah it's ridiculous that they put that stuff in when the birds don't/can't eat it. And cheapo home brand seed is always so hard, dried out and dusty. I'm surprised they're even allowed to sell it as birdseed.

My Other Birds
Hi Guys  . Just thought I'd share with you some of my other feathered kids. My baby, a blue Quaker named Munchie. He's attached to me and hates everyone else . He says "Good Boy" "Whatchya doin?" "Hello" and does an evil laugh. My other tame Quaker, Larry. He likes to sing "Come Fly With Me", says "Good Boy" "Bye Bye" Good Boy Larry" "Tickle" "Oy" and barks like a dog. Bonded breeding pair of Quakers, Google (blue male) and Yahoo (green female). 3 of last year's babies: Bonded breeding pair of Greencheeks- Bonsai (male) and Stickybeak (female). One of last year's Greencheek babies hiding in my hair: 2 of my 7 Cockatiels- Punk and Custard: Rubberneck, one of my Japanese Quails. I have King Quails too. Beaker the hybrid Lovebird- Peachface x Black Mask: Sunny the 6 year old male Sun Conure. (Anyone know of a healthy female for sale?) Ruby the 3 year old female Eclectus. She's my 3rd feathered baby. She's semi-tame and talks non stop. Plus a rabbit, 30 or so budgies, and a husband and 5 year old daughter .

Banshee My Rainbow Lorikeet
It's no surprise why you called him Banshee . They are SO loud sometimes aren't they? As a teenager I had a RL named Rosie. When we moved house we couldn't take her with us so we gave Rosie to my grandpa. One day a person came to the door saying they could hear her in the backyard and tried to buy her. Grandpa said no, and a few days later he woke up to find the aviary broken into and Rosie was gone . Anyway, he's gorgeous. Have you bred him before?

Help With Some Colours Please?
Can someone tell me what colour mutations these 2 are? And what sex the yellow one is? It's funny, I've had so many people try to buy the blue and white hen off me, but each time I say no. She's such a gorgeous bird, I can't part with her. Any help with colours is appreciated .

Seed Types
I buy budgie seed in 20kg bags from Barristock. I can't say I've looked that closely at what's in it. It's very fresh compared to the garbage you buy at the supermarket. On that note, what are those orange seeds you see in cheap rubbish mixes? Budgies never eat them. These ones:

Vet Trip- Watched A Budgie Autopsy.
20 worms that big! Right that's it, I'm worming my birds today. We did it only about 6 weeks ago, but we've added new birds since and I can't remember who had and who hadn't. So they're all getting it. So sorry to hear about that. How awful that a breeder who sells their birds refuses to worm them. I'd go down there and demand some answers or a refund from him.

Baby With Offshape Beak
What did you decide to do Pearce?

Angry Budgie- Single Female...
She's undoubtedly protective of her nest and her territory, and thinks anyone who comes close is a threat. If you don't want her breeding, take the eggs and box out, and she should come around. Fingers crossed .

Can Anyone Tell Me What My Budgie Is Doing?
Yes it's normal for birds to bring up some crop food and chew it again. Especially if you see seeds and food randomly falling out of his mouth while he does it. Perhaps he's bored, or not chewing his food properly the first time.

Baby With Offshape Beak
Is the baby struggling to feed? Do you think it'll be able to crack seed open?

Can Anyone Tell Me What My Budgie Is Doing?
It looks to me like he's bringing food up out of his crop to chew it more and swallow it again.

Worse Day Ever
Sorry to hear about this . Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I have done lots of crop feeding in the past. Or if you want me to come over and assist in any other way.

Light Bulbs ?
I had the same problem! About 6 months ago I was hand rearing an orphaned budgie and bought an energy saving globe to try it. Well, bloody good thing I checked the temperature of the brooder before I went to bed, cause the poor little bugger was sitting there freezing. He was fine once I changed back to the other bulb. They don't pack anywhere near as much heat as the old style bulbs. I can understand the government wanting to change over for the sake of the environment, but what about those select few who need the old style? Phasing them out completely is unfair. They should just increase the prices to more than the energy savers to discourage people from buying the old type. But at least they'd still be available to people like us.

Awww, what a good daddy! That's impressive.

2 Females Nesting In The Same Box?
Yep they appear very pleased with the arrangement. Weird, but they probably wouldn't have it any other way. I'm still monitoring them and the others in the aviary several times a day. I think the green hen is doing most of the caring for the babies, while Lilac goes out for food and brings it back.

2 Females Nesting In The Same Box?
Baby number 3 has hatched! All 3 are well fed, full crops every time I check on them. They're growing on schedule. All the 6 other eggs appear fertile too .

All About Budgie Ceres
To me, some of those hens not in breeding condition look like they're males. I'm not saying I doubt you at all, just asking how you know that they're hens? Thanks.
