The other one is hopefully going to make it. The last egg was laid 5 days after the 2nd so I guess it should hatch Friday or Saturday. By then the 1st one should be a little bigger. Hope they don't fight.

The 2nd one didn't make it. :hap: I think it was the 2nd one, it was the smaller of the two. It's a pitty when they don't get a chance at life..... now I have one chick and one egg.

What can I say. I love the little ones............ Budgies as well........ Up date. 2 pm Wife says......Stay at work and both chicks seem to be doing okay.... I'll glad when the weekend comes. I beleive that the first few days are the hardest........Oh and for the chicks as well :hap:

It's a worry isn't it. A hope that all is going well. Being the first clutch. If I get home early I'll get some photos to put up.

Can't wait to get home to see how things are going. Might slip away early today from work to see.

Latest up date. Checked this morning. about 6:30am 2nd egg hatched. 1 chick was in the hollow the other was found in a corner not moving. I move it to the hollow and found it was still alive. The hen quickly hoped back in and I assume back on the the chicks. My wife checked about 9:30am and said that both chicks seem okay and that the 3rd/last egg looked like it was cracking I will have to wait till tonight to see how everythings going. The first egg has just hatched. It was found this afternoon. Hopefully the second one will be hatching tomorrow. I hope everything goes okay for the chicks. Photos to come...... :beer:

I'm not 100% sure it is scally face. I had one of the twins with scally face and it wasn't like that. I'm not saying it isn't but I do agree with birdie and suggest a vet trip.

The longer the leg is left untreated the less chance it is that it will mend.

How is he going? What treatment are you giving him. I am truly fasinated. What does the vet say? Daz

You know I wasn't too nervous until now. I might ring home to see whats going on. .........Daz rings home. Wife answers.......Daz asks if any eggs are hatched...................... .......No ......Still have to wait. :sad:

Well Time is nearly up. The first egg should be hatching tomorrow? I hope. The spangle has laid three eggs total. The first was laid about 18 - 19 days ago today. The second 18 days tomorrow. But I started counting from the second egg.

I don't think Eterri will fit in one of those cages Daz <{POST_SNAPBACK}> .......ummm maybe if they allclip togeather and the walls are cut out ..... umm maybe not

How big is your indoor avary? This there room to put the box in there. Maybe add a hook or two to support it.

It's a great cage. Long not high. Lol. It is, definitely. It's been four years of it though so hopefully we won't have to do this distance thing for too much longer. I got an email saying the new cages should arrive next Thursday so once I get them set up and see how the budgies get along I'll get you pictures and details of the extras. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> terri they say "Breeding Cages" does this meen you are thinking about "Breeding"????

Up to three eggs. The third one was a bit late? 5 days between 2nd and 3rd. Is this usual? I thought it was about every other day. Hopefully I might get a 4th to day? 1st -> 18th 2nd -> 20th 3rd -> 25th I think hatching will be about the 6th Sept.
