Your a good Mathimatician nerwen. We now have two (2) eggs. Spangles a clever one. She has been sitting on the first since yesterday. so I guess we are now 17days to go. Cross Fingers....I should stop saying that I have had a look at a number of breeding cages and didn't like any of them. Thats why I built mine. Pet city at Mt Gravatt sells the front to breeding cages. You just do the rest. It's easy. Any ideas on the babies colours????? Hen is a goldern faced spangle Cock is a normal sky blue I think?

I would love another Princess, but the ones that look the most like her are her sons.. But I would love a hen like her... I had her inside with fred for a year and she never bit once. Even her babies are very placid and of course Fred is too. She doesn't even bite now when I pick her up. Her second baby hatched today... with 5 eggs to go for her.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lady thats great two down and five to go. I have to wait 18 days oh well the thrill of it all.

Hath I have sheets of MDF that I use to make cupboards and other furniture. But I seal it and paint it so it is harmless but not in the raw state. Here in Australia you can buy breeding boxes out of it. I'll make mine out of ply. Just to be safe

Don't worry...I have thought of that. But where am I going to put it.

Don't go for the cheap manufactured ones they are sometimes made with MDF which are dangerous to us humans let alone budgies.

I am in a spot at the moment. Bluey and Spangle are in the breeding box with one egg. The twins are too young to breed. But Greeny and Cinamon look to be ready. Their feathers are so clean and bright and their cere's are dark chocolate brown.........sorry girls no males and the only breeding box is ocupied. But I'm not conserned. I never planed to breed in bulk. I'll wait a month after this clutch is done and then set Cinamon with Bluey. The two show birds. No Hurry.
