A Sneak Peak At My Novel
im sorry but i agree with oo7 write your story then re read it when you are satisfyed with it only then ask advice i honestly do not like the first part at all but from the baby in the bus shelter on its quiet good i dont like the constent pointed out flickering light you lost me their and almost again with the bus shelter i would try something like as the dusk was setting in marry and terance drove slowly down the lite less road , somthing gleamed in the corrner of marys eye as the rounded the bend just short of passing the old run down bus shelter they usto sit in as young kids as her mind turned from her memoriys to horror with the recal of her minds vishion in which the head lights shined apone stop! she exclamed to her child hood sweet heart ,now husband of 17 years ,terance through on the cars brakes with a starteled look in his eye, in a shaken voice he asked marry what had come over her the road was now in total darkness exempt from any form of light ,mary could hardly pase as she stumbled from the car to back trake towared the gastly vishion that had caught her eye so suddenly in the trees in the fear of tumbling down the pitch black imbankment where the deep imprint of freashly layed tyer marks still lay moist from the damp cold that had been closing in from the south horizzion marry called apon her husband for , see so this just shows you how diffrent ly people write and interpret things in their mind its best to write your story then seek someone who can be very honest about your lay out of events my exampal was probbly bit over the top with expreshion remember your the writer its your story not every one is going to like it and you may just ask the wrong peoples opinions and get a negative responce good luck its very pulling but as i said after the bus shelter bit on thats just me

Linda_s Breeding Journal
Mr & Princess (Yellow Face Blue Opaline Cock & Double Factor Spangle hen) Grandpa and Vamp (Light Green Opaline Dom. Pied & Grey Green Opaline) i would toss between these to and decide by age of birds or i would scrap the first pairing the /lute and blue and i would breed the three last pairs then pair the lut split boy to the grey green hen next round

More Pics
they are lovley very good buys i would put the best grey /ino with your ino hen and then the other brother with your opaline grey hen this way both lots of chicks will only be grey and the albino hens and cocks produced will also be masking grey this way you will not get blue suffusion showing through you will need to one day put blue back in or the albinos will end up looking dull but its good to start with your mauve hen i would put with a sky or cobalt dom cock if you have one as mauve dom s look beautiful but what ever you do they will be lovley that grey green hen to die for oh i just remembered your albino ended up being a lace wing lol but still put grey / ino with her you will get all albino chicks cocks and hens cocks being split for lacewing

Another Sick Budgie
OH MY IM SO SORRY I HAVE MIXED MY POSTS .....VERY BAD WOOPS . THIS BIT look it doent matter anymore as to whats been happening she is now taking it to libby so this is all that counts THIS BIT WAS MENT FOR OTHER SICK BIRD POST BY IRENNE I AM SO SORRY CUTE SPANGLE TOO MANY BIRDS SICK WITH NO WAY TO GET HELP DOING MY HEAD IN ARRRRRRRRRRRRRR it is not her fault her peronts are not the kind of people to care weather or not the bird dies i think its very wrong and obviously i wonder what happens to the birds in your flock that also get sick in future if i was you cute.spangle i would be saving some money aside and keeping enough for a taxi trip to and from and vet costs for future times ahead as this will not be the last time you get a sick bird on your hands and if your peronts wont help you than you need a back up plan when i was younger mum my and dad wouldnt help me get an injered cat to the vets and it was in the next town ship 1 hours walk away (it was not ours ) i was only 14 mabe 15 but i did not let them stop me i put it in a box and i walked their i had no money or anything it took me longer than an hour as it was up hills and all and the cat was heavy but i rested now and then i finally made it i took the cat inside and explained my situation that i had no money that the cat was hit by a car in frount of me that id walked it home (which took me 20 minits that mum wouldnt bring me and that it took me 1 hour to get he he was thank full i cared enough an took the cat in straight to be oparatted on it was hurt badly the moral her is bassicly WHERE THEIR IS A WILL THEIR IS A WAY by way i payed the vet off for that bill cost me 190 dollors and took me 6 months doing jobs around peoples houses but the cat lived and was rehomed so it was worth it to me so be prepaired next time you have a aviry so if i was you i would find out waht was wrong with this bird or they could all get sick

Should I Breed Her Now?
thats very true kaz not everyone on here knows everything and that even goes for some of the long time breeders its just that every one has diffrent ways more than they dont know and the fact is some of thoughs diffrent ways are not good i think i once wrote about putting breeding boxes in my aviry to see what hens are ready and what cocks were interested it isnt a good practice but i do belive it helped me as a beginner learn how to tell what birds were in breeding mood and what were not thing is when doing this all hens young and old that seemed to look like they were ready went straight to boxes so... as you can see anyone that doesnt know age of bird could actually put up a bird thats way to young thinking well she went for the box when i did this i was also breeding my birds at 9 months old as thats what i was taught through a club years ago when i was 13 im now 36 so.... i do not do either of these things any more if i had not of joined this sight or my club i would mabe still be doing this as the books i owned were very old and all said 9 months to breed THEY WERE OLD AND UNDATED we have since learnt that birds need to be fully matured or the eggs are made with the calcium that builds their own bones this is whey it is important to wait for one year of age takeing birds out and into breeding cages at 11 months is okay so long as no box is placed in their doing this also lets the birds be around 1 year and 1 month by time they lay so if your going to set up too pairs it wont hurt for you too do so with out nest box and place them in on september but i would place them in around the 13 to the 20th this way the eggs will be layed closer to 1st of october also if you can try put more than too pairs up as if something goes wrong its less worry about who is going to take on chicks and ect if you have 2 pairs and one wont feed and they have 5 eggs each thats 10 chicks what will you do with the ones that arnt getting fed when the good feeder gets all chicks hatched and you add two fosters (which i think is plenty )thats 3 chicks left where do they go ??? so in my opinion 3 pairs should always be the least put up at once 4 if at all possable but this is MY OPINION and im still learning loads of things so.... and i been breeding for 3 years since i started back with it lots has changed since i first breed birds this is my opinion though and as i said every one is diffrent

-
Scalyface On A Found Bird
yes im hopeing any info may help others to recognize simular simptoms and get to vet before to late like i was second bird was not well and i needed to sacrafice her to see if my flock was in danger or i could have had him save her but we descused the matter the pro and cons and decided that she was way sick anyway and not got much chance but she could save my whole flock from hiding sickness if we found out exactly what she had and considering i had a bird fit and die the simptoms were not same but both are sighns of phyciosses (was that close kaz) i am medicating birds in morn as avised removed their water last night all birds bar breeding birds are to be put in aviry till treat ment ends under his advice no other birds look ill at all but he said they may of got lucky and just got slight dose and if treated now will beat it but left slowly one by one month after month they will fall in numbers and till finally all gone exept of course the ones amune to it he said it may have just been due to something else but will treat anyway before to late as rezults will be to long to wait as if it was piccociss (second try )then it would of been to late and they could all be effected so///
