  2. kaz i think it does i think you shouldnt breed grey greens with yellow lacewings of yellow colour lol ..um ...u know what i mean but it is okay to breed grey green to white lacewings as you will get all grey or grey green lite green or green chicks split lacewing split to blue (white) and then you can put them to white based lacewings and get yellow and white lacewing hens then keep your yellows seperate to your whites and use lite green i was told is good for bright yellow lacewings or dark green thats what i heard anyhows im going to try it :happy-dancing:

  16. i think he was being lazy with his writting kaz i think he ment 200.00 as he went on to say their was only a few at 2o.00 So true Blue,I could just imagine,Henry haveing birds for $2 at the auction. For those I have confused in my, 2 to 300=$200 to $300. The $20 bird was a 2005 ring bird. Another quote from the bloke last night, was some of the same birds, would of made twice as much at the Hills auction,so that give you some idea the prices, they make at the Hills sale' he has some lovley birds though i was going to go to action but figured would be wasteing my time looks like i was right if i had of gone which i did not i would have been the one leaving with the 05 20.00 bird if i had of gone lol although it would have probbly cost me fifty by time the bid from other person stopped lol
  17. I truly do not believe that egg eating is related in any way to a deficiency of sorts with birds re calcium levels etc. Often times they accidentally break the egg being clumsy and then it is seen as a food source once broken. New parents have this problem at times and young breeders. i agree with kaz i just had a albino hen punture a egg first layed i left it their anyway and next day she had egg face lol i was a bit worryed at first and placed a marbale in to replace the egg she had eatten but then the next egg was fine and the next and the next so she is doing well sitting so she may not eat them all
  18. thanks kaz it was very expencive but needed as i never seen anything like it ever in my years of breeding or owning birds
  19. thank you liv im more interested in the splat hens out come than anything else i would love a spangled dom pied out of them then some normal hens and a dom sky would be lovley but i think cobalts and greys is the normal colors for this pairing a sky isnt out the question with some luck though
