okay then you need to think about what you want to breed most and then assess what birds you have that can get you their what you dont have thats needed sell of the ones you dont need good or not and get in ones that will benifit the type your breeding for i just finished doing this today and i have half the birds than i started with and a few good ones gone  but in long run i will be better off

The Definitive Meat Protein Debate
no you get thread worm and stuff too and the dunnie budgies(blow flys) would be around quicker than you could guess ren i say just feed them the bones from all your roasts or t bones even then you need to be whatching as i said flys just think of own barbies  who gets more snags the flys or you

Dominance Of Varieties On The Same Allele
okay i hope i dont get this wrong but ... lacewing is co dominent to albino as if you breed a albino cock bird to a lacewing hen you get all albinos the cocks being /split for lacewing then if you breed a albino / lacewing cock to a cinnamon hen you get normal/cinnamon/ino cocks cinnamon /lacewing cocks albino hens and lacewing hens that to me says that as albino then cinnamon then lacewing in order to domanance as an albino cock to a cinnamon hen rezults in normal/cinnamon/ino cocks and albino hens and lacewing cock to an albino hen rezults in ino/lacewing cocks and lacewing hens so...... so here we can see that lacewing may be co domanaint to albino yet coincide with cinnamon this is my theory

Do You Name All Your Budgies
lol if i did that named them after breeders id have the equivalent to a Greek or Italian family  their would be john ,john, john, john, little john, john ,john ,john, john, john, john, gean, gean, gean, and gean anthony ,tony, anton, antonio, athony Junior, and anth and armstrong, gerring and insted of unguppy i have splat  their would be others but basiclly all would be having same name as for violet hen her name ren is actually Marsha i think she will be fine when comes time she doesnt even bite she has paired herself to my agf sky blue sf cock however she can not breed as yet so waiting it will be worth it im going to swap her eggs with pet types straight away and place into foster show nest

Assistance/opinions On Culling
Cull the greywing cock to my place  he is lovely on top kaz but very short in the bum  my moment on the Opaline spangle is similar to nubblys also i just wasted loads of money buying birds i thought were good untill i got a few rip snorters personally i would wait now to perchus hens from good source rather than pet shops wait till u met some members your club look at the unifitiale birds show christmas breack up thing at what birds you like look of then find out who breed them then go talk to them about being on their next cull list and express your wanting to start a stock line with some their birds could they help u most are willing only rare few wont really i would not get birds that are like the hens you have they do sit short and are very unappealing as far as show quality is conserned i dont mind the mauve actually i think she could produce very nice given the right boy the dom id get rid of as she has a hooked tail if it is always held like this not just in picture its hard to breed out i wouldnt enter into the efot of trying to breed it out of flock once its breed in id get her gone no w but thats me i just got ride all my hens almost and am going to wait till i can gain decent ones worth the cocks i have sounds silly but belive me i will be better off for it the chicks will show this the grey wing cock he has nice directional feather a keeper

Assistance/opinions On Culling
okay well i would keep long tail id put him with your albino hen next year this year i would put him with the straight sitting opaline hen she is nice bird dont get rid of her on stance a tall of the perch bird is good and you correct it by pouting her with a bird with little or less stance i would put her with long tail as you will get more greys for your bino breeding maybe double grey if lucky also he has tight sitting wings where hers are tad losser so this will fix this she has nice hight in blow he has a nicer tighter softer looking feather and mask is not long or short just she will improve that area i belive they both nice long birds and she got a bigger head in picture so will fix this i think some good chicks out of them two also scooby with this hen would be lovley in the end its all about fun and experimenting we are but beginners mate so... plenty of years to put a good bird on show bench first get a grasp of how to mix match you birds to fix lesser qualitys then when learnt that cull then get in good birds to play with this is what i have done and are doing

Assistance/opinions On Culling
hay mate just been where you are its really hard specially when a lot of the time members will not give a accurate account on the birds you have i say when starting you need to start some where your albino pair the hen and cock have given you some nice bubbys i belive you should keep your grey / albino as he has a nice long tail i find albinos impress more with a long tail i like your two opaline hens i dont understand what you mean by one sits to high on pertch i like your grey from local breeder and i think the hen your going to retire is mabe the one i would give up but then put with your split albino you have another set of chicks half bro sisters to work with and him being a nice looking bird will sit her up a bit as i think she is to squashed down no stance what so ever if thats your whole flock then you dont need to cull if you have other birds you need to look at the best bird you have in flock and go from their but remember all birds need some veriation to put the peacies of puzzle together you need to know what look your going for not whats on the bench but if you want to adhire to the bench standed and not have your own look then cull to that standed i got a member of a diffrent club help me ive had at least 5 members around and to be honest the 2 members from the other clubs were the only ones whom actually gave honest account and opinion and didnt want to take birds off my hands for me (watch that line its a good one ) anyway i belive if you look in aviry and you dont tell yourself oh how beautiful are you to all the birds everytime then thats the one to go but untill u know what your looking for dont cull

My Pairs
as true as this is and i do believe it is with show breeding its not to do with color its all about features and molding that perfect bird so letting them pair goes against the politics of breeding for bloodline and quality im guessing mind you i have no clue really why if all your birds were of top standed and complimented one another why you could not let the pairing take place naturally ?????? can anyone enlighten me on why show birds are percifically paired to produce other than mutation control and fetcher quality stupid question i know but

Water Based Meds
that's why at a small price i get every bird new to my flock tested 16.50 each bird is but nothing compared to losing the lot from one slip by some people pat hundreds for one bird i pay bit less for nice reasonable birds and a few extra penny's for a health check this way one i know for sure and two if a bird has anything i can then inform the seller to the results the bird had if anything bad or abnormal shows up this could help them if unaware of birds abnormal bacteria so far all birds i have brought bar one from pet shop have been clear and im not buying from pet shop now ever again as i have no need to your birds were clear for all things tested as were nubblys and kaz and other i got from wa i havent had abad bird sold from a breeder yet fingers crossed the birds get tested for few things even a few uncommon illnesses
-
Water Based Meds
i with hold water from birds for from say 6 am to 10 am the next day when the need to medicate arrives i also place more smaller water drinkers rather than the one big one and leave for the day until about 6 pm that night then remove water drinkers until next morn 10 am again where i start again the routine until the course is fully finished i sit and watch birds when i first put down the water and watch them go straight to it with in first ten mins i can say all birds have had a sip this works for me well but i only medicate when needed not a yearly thing as you do but then my flock has no meg and when tested last month came through clean spill on everything

My Pairs
are you a member of aclub or do u have rings as only birds with rings can be shown apart from that any bird can be shown as long as it has a ring and is in the right class by way i think your texis is by far best pictured their thats not to say he is your best bird just best picture the reason i said the lacewing to / lacewing was so you could get more lacewings and work from their at breeding more and better the blue cock is nice but you shouldnt breed blue to white lacewing as you will get very blue shine in chicks i would rethink this move' even the texis would be better you will get a texis hen from that pairing and texis cocks but the cocks would be split lacewing not good way to continue breeding them but good way to get a few texis hens and cull the cocks honestly i would get a nice hen for him specially though and put your lacewing to cin grey to get the lenght

My Pairs
okay if it was me and im not going on quality here just out come rezults i would pair the lacewing hen with the split lace wing cock this will give you yellow lacewing hens and possably cocks all none lacewing cocks will be split lacewing and normal hens also off top of head that is i could be wrong also the chicks will be split to blue so makeing breeding lacewings easyer in future if wanting both or one colour produced if cock is split blue you may get white or yellow lacewings i would pair the yf cin hen with the grey yf cock these birds look both resonable first picture giving greys with yf and split cin and possably a df yellow face these are provided cocks split to nothing you could get more the fun in breeding beter pics would help and then your rec pie hen two the sky blue cock bird giving you split rec pied cocks and hens split to blue theirs better you could do but with out better pics of birds and their real length stance so on i cant reallly visualize an out come in aperiance of bubys hope that helps though

Rabbit And Guinea Pig Pellets For Budgies ?
to be honest i never thought of feeding pellets as i never knew you could get them in vic i never ever seen them and my vets never promoted them as for soaked seed honestly i couldn't trust myself not to poison my birds with it its a shallow line between ready and to far with my memory i would just kill my birds as most of you would know from other posts on feeding i give my birds lots of things ,bread daily being main one all kinds this week they had brown rye and cinnamon fruit loaf with icing i think i will take to just giving them fruit loaf again i was giving scrolls as the cinnamon in them they love they get all veg and fuit exept avacardo onion basiclly food toxic to them i give only pink mineral mix with aniseed in it (pigion vitimin mix ) cant remember its name sorry i do give cooked rice and vegies in it sometime i flavor todays was saffron rice

- Cocks Or Hens?
i think cock and hen and hen not good at sexing off pics though- The Great Yf Symposium
guys well done now i can even understand that with out needing to read it 6 times over and photos to boot love it cheers- Opaline Chicks?
I have a opaline hen paired with a spangle, i am not sure if he is carrying opaline but i am wondering if any of the chicks are looking like opalines. okay the second chick has grey down but thats not to say im corect it is a picture after all and chick could be in shadowing but looks grey to me first chick looks blue third looks grey both look spangle as the tail feathers the main two are white fourth also looking spangled im no expert though so oh second chick looks normal not spangled as wing is dark but again a guess it is behind others - Cocks Or Hens?
