Its a grey and The only way I know of telling how many dark factors it has is by breeding it.

The one on the left is either olive or grey green. If the tail is black then he must be greygreem

Greywing is recessive so if the father is a greywing he would have passed some greywing genes on to his babies. Some of the chicks could be split greywing and some could not. Who was the grey green father mated to? He was mated to a double factor spangle hen? That would mean that all chicks would be sf spangles. Some of these would be split greywing. I am still learning so their is a possibility I'm wrong.

On the beak that looks like abit of scaly face to me. No harm in treating it anyway. If you do not have some iverctmin spot on you can put some olive oil or vaseline on the affected area, carefull not to put it in the nostrils. Definitly a hen.

Thankyou very much all. The babies come in and out of the nest box, when one goes in they all go in and when one goes out they all go out. It is hard to get pictures of the normal skyblue because he always puts his head right in front of the camera lens, he is not shy at all.

Green one looks like a light green, 0 dark factors the darker green one looks more like an olive than a grey green to me. 2 dark factors. Do you have any better pictures of this one? What colour is the tail

How much do you think you could sell a green factor budgie for that hasn't been tamed? I sell pet type budgies $8 each and show type budgies $20 each. For a standard pet type green budgie that is not tame I would not pay over $15. You will find if you go to a pet shop they will be for sale over $30 each. How much do you think for a green factor that has been tamed? Maybe not full on training but just some basic stuff like the setup and suited to like not go nuts when you put hand in cage. Tame budgies cost a little more. For a pet green budgie that is tame I would pay $15. What age do they usually open there eyes at? Is this when I should start taming them? 5-6 Days, You can hold them at this age for a few minutes a day. That will get them used to you. Then when they are fully weaned they will be easier to start training. How many eggs does a budgie hatch usually. I had a pair I got around 1-2years old had 5 but I dropped 1 mistakenly and 4 are left 2 have hatched, rest should hatch within the next 2 days. Depends how many eggs, I find my average pair has 6 eggs, 4 hatch. That is my average. How long should you wait after the 18 days have gone if the eggs haven't hatched to get rid of them if they don't that is? I wait till about 25-30 days. You could calculate it incorectly or count from when the eggs hatch and not when the eggs are incubated. I have got rid of an egg once that was 22 days old and it had a chick inside, its a terrible feeling. Should you treat new baby budgies for anything? If I breed them myself I dont treat them for anything. I worm them once they get older. Does a budgie only bond to the same one and stay bonded? or can you pair it up with another one if you wish. that is one that has already paired up and bonded and you gotten eggs and then wanted to breed it with another will it bond with another still? or will it only then just bond with the one you had it with from now on? I find that if you put cocks in one cage and hens in another, this breaks all bonds between the pairs. You can breed a hen with a cock 2 times in a year and they will bond closley, but next year if you switch pairs they will breed. Also I got a disposable camera so I can take some decent pictures and post them. Well it will be a couple of weeks anyhow before I can get good ones as long as I don't frick them up.

Marlon do you mean the colours of your pair look the same as a standard pair of bush budgies? Thats how I read it. I dont use perches in my cages when I'm travelling either, Less stress on the birds to just sit on the ground. Their was a big debate on the birds in my signatures parents. The mother is a dark green cinnamon spangle and the father is a light green recessive pied.
