Have picked Nitro up now! He's awesome fun! I show him the towel when hes being bad and he behaves too. He bites, so am trying to break him of that by locking him in his cage and ignoring him. He LOVES attention!

I have finally found the rainbow lorikeet of my dreams! He is a boy, 9 months old, called Nitro and comes complete with huge cage for $130! He talks, wolf whistles, and is tame! I can't wait to go pick him up this weekend! Any rainbow owners out there got any advice? I know a few of you have them! Thanks, Sam

Remember how I said I was colony breeding a while back, but was going to try cabinets and breeding cages? Well, I won a breeding cage on Ebay, I don't have that yet, but today I went down to the aviary, and was THRILLED to see that 2 of my budgie hens had laid an egg each, and so had mum's lovebirds(lovebirds seperate)! One pair of budgies is a colour that I think is called Slate Blue? And they are both opalines, so will be beautiful babies. The other pair, is a english/aussie cross grey green normal cock, and a blue and green mottled hen opaline with a yellow head. What will the results be? How long will it be before I get baby budgies? And baby lovebirds? How many eggs do you think they will lay? I'm SO excited! Thanks, Sam

great mb. Me and my mum are wildlife rescuers too. Have done alot of rescues, including kangaroos, tawny frogmouth babies etc. Its great fun but devastating at times too. I also do Wildline.

HI Derek, No, Bird Haven is my friend we live together and I was on her name when we put the ad on. MB, no sorry, he didn't have any cockatoos, but I have another number for a guy in Altona Meadows who has corellas and other cockatoos $30 I think. I can give you his number if you like, he has TONS of happy healthy birds. I have bought birds off him before. He also sells seed in bulk and nesting boxes etc. Thanks, Sam
