Vetafarm Products
Yep, I have just made a big purchase through them. Prices were cheaper, even with postage, than the pet shops and I had money in my paypal account that I needed to use. The other good thing is they combine postage.

Shell Grit
Come on you guys, don't hold back as I am interested in your views. Just read in Scobles book that shell grit should be given to budgies. He also talks about budgies turning cannibal and needing a certain amount of meat and fat and he does this in the form of sheeps tails or suet. I would actually like to see some scientific information on both subjects.

My New And First Aviary For 20 Years
This is the sectioned off back of the aviary where I will place my breeding cages. The middle section lifts out to allow access to them. Haven't figured out how I will fix that in yet. Perches are in and so are the birds H Here is a close up of the little blokes. They are still a little shell shocked I think following the trip home and the new accommodation

Rejected Hallmark Cards
BANNED FROM K- MART........... This is why women should not take men shopping against their will. DON'T TAKE ME IF I DON'T WANT TO GO........... After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to K-Mart. Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men--he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women--she loved to browse. One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local K-Mart. Dear Mrs. Fenton, Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behaviour and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras. 1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking. 2 . July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. 3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, "Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away." 5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on lay-b y. 6. September 14: Moved a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area. 7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department. 8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" 9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. 10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the " Mission Impossible" theme. 12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his "Madonna look" by using different sizes of funnels. 13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled "PICK ME! PICK ME!" 14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a foetal position and screamed "OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!" And last, but not least .. 15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!" Regards, K -Mart.

Weighing Budgies
JUst on that Daz's birds also seem to love him in return. They are all used to being handled and are very much used to being picked up and checked out.

My New And First Aviary For 20 Years
Didn't get as much done today as I would have liked. Mainly because I spent a few hours with Daz looking at his birds and talking about budgies. Came away with a couple of nice cock birds as well as some breeding boxes that I wiill collect soon. Photos of the birds tomorrow. Here is a picture of the mesh on. Looking through the wire you can make out the partly finished frame for the divider.

Daz In the above photo can you tell me what you used to join your lengths of mesh? I can see small black items along the wire. Also how did you fix the mesh to the aluminium? Are the self tapping screws? Thanks

My New And First Aviary For 20 Years
Have worked it out. Just spent a couple of hours building a frame that I can divide the back section of the aviary off. I can place the breeding cabinets behind it. Has a large opening door so that I can access the breeding cabinets but the rest of the budgies cant. I have room for six breeding cabinets at the back of the aviary now. :yellowhead: I start to mesh it all tomorrow. Now I need some breeding cages. Damn I hate woodwork. Anyone got any for sale to save me the heartache of crooked sides and backs. :yellowhead: Photos tomorrow as it's dark

Building Breeding Cabinets
I notice a lot of breeders use the wire fronts. What are opinions on using the 12mm square mesh. It's much cheaper and you can buy it by the roll. :glare:
