in order to keep everyone on this thread in unity we could maybe take a flyspray can and a lighter, turn the lighter on and then spray the flyspray into the lighter in the direction of the nest box... KAZ's blowtorch idea + Georges Flyspray idea = the first ever black budgies... wow!! What a future this hobby has with people like me involved... :yellowhead:

maybe the breeder had a bunch of rings stolen from them and this ring thief put it on his budgies... oooh... the plot thinkens neat... this is so much fun! :yellowhead:

I was looking at one of Daz's posts and he went thru a few ring numbers and when there was a Letter Number combination say 6S it was from a breeder whose sername started with S... so judging by this we are looking for a NSW breeder from the POM budgerigar society and they are the 8th person with a sername starting with X from that club... hmmmm... interesting... Budgie Holmes is on the case... The only problem I just did a search on the NSW budgerigar societies page and none of their clubs are abriviated POM... alas we are back to square one...

alot of people with names ending in G at pine rivers??? I'm guessing at least 10 huh... I never realised that the letter was from your last name... cool.

No neat no... please no... I'm far to busy trying to find lacewings... but I'll promise you this... when I do start get my budgies and I breed them I will keep perfect records and only use the correct years rings... and I'll change my nick to my ring number... actually another brain storm... would it be possible to add that into the things we have on the side of our posts... that would be cool...

I don't know colours but I think george said this year was black... I suppose that a breeder could've not renewed there membership and are using up the last of their rings though... anything is possible...

How would her current clutch be effected by that though... I'm guessing she would remove the current eggs/babies and mother before blowtorching the nest... :hap:

I think we need a family tree maker for budgies... and maybe a Birth Deaths and Marraiges registry to... Give budgies there rightful place in the Australian beaurocracy...

never a nice feeling to be bitten by a budgie... I'm not really sure what you can do I'm sure others will have some ideas... I do remember a few other threads about biters... maybe do a search and see what you come up with... good luck and I hope it turns out with a happy ending. ie. no more biting.

Oh wiat I see an oportunity... how about we have a State of Origin competition... and in the interest of fairness we will allow the international people to judge... Everyone sends in a picture of there budgie and that list is passed onto the international people... they decide and post a picture of the 1st 2nd and 3rd placed budgies... I know this is a great idea and one of the Mods will pick it up and run with it Only thing is we would have to find a way for the pics to be posted annonimously... in the interest of fairness of course...
