ive noticed that my budgie Bing also has abit of flaking and irregularities on his cere with a white line connecting the cere and beak, but dont all budgies have a white line connecting their cere to their beak? it could also be that his cere is changing depending on what age Bert is???

that noise has been associated with being annoyed by something, could their be something in his surroundings that is ticking him off??? My budgie does it aswell but only when we put the dishes away becaause they are so loud, its almost as if he is competing wih he noise, it could also be because he just likes his voice? one more suggestion would be that he is calling for you? is he tame? try rewarding him with millet when he is quiet

i watched the first 10 mins of the notebook because i didnt realise what i was watching, i was waiting for hannibal but the show before that went overtime by like 30 mins so i switched to speed

hey, i put Bing on the floor today and started trying to get him to walk over to me, i say to him "Bing, come here" and i tap the ground where i want him to go but he doesnt do it very well, he virtually just chases his ball or goes off and chews the newspaper on the ground, does anyone have any tips on how to get him to come to me on command, i hope that once i have this down i will be able to get him to fly to me

why is henrietta missing all but one flight feather, when they moult do they temporarily become unflighted?

well my cage size is larger than the recommended so there isnt a problem there... thanks everyone for your advice

hey, i have a few quick queries about Bing's behaviour, i dont know why he does it but at least once a day he sits there all fine, then he will start twitching and go flying around the cage this goes on for about a minute, is this him getting excerscise or something else? it looks as if he is uncomfortable, also when he is on my shoulder he likes to bite my shirt and he does it the whole time, does anyone have an explanation other than boredom?

lol so does Bing Tam but he absolutly devoured brocolli the other day with it going everywhere!

i try that but half the time he just attacks my finger, sometimes he starts attacking it then he realises what im doing and lets me do it but other than that i cant get to scratch him, in the first month or so he did but that was because he was scared

what i mean is pin feather on his cheek spots, they haven't opened they look like normal pin featers but blue and none of them are open i will post a picture a bit later if you need a further description :budgiedance:

hey, i was looking at Bing before and i noticed his blue cheek spots and i was wondering if they open up? cause it looks like they still have the wax coating over the feather, both sides are the same, thanks...

when i got my budgie Bing he was very scared of me... i waited about 5 days then begun to put my hand into his cage and get him used to it, then after about a week of doing that i started offering him millet, then i put my finger out in front of the millet and pushed on his belly and he hopped onto my finger... this all took about 2 weeks, then i started doing that every day for about 20 minutes at a time and now he gets the hang of it. so i wouldnt worry, all budgies are different just keep persisting as i myself havnt finished fully training my budgie yet and its been 5 months! early days, just dont give up PS. as budgies get more confident they start to bite, my budgie bites me if he is not on a perch and i try and get him onto my finger. Try use this to your advantage and ignore the biting, eventually he/she will get the message and stop biting. good luck :bluebudgie:
