Bing!
hi, well as most of you know i was having problems with Bing and bonding, i took Elly's advice of having his ball near me when i want him near me, and just working with him playing with him as much as possible, and i have to say that it has worked tremendously, now he actually flies to me even when i don't ask him to!, well he is in the middle of another moult (4th one now, or mabye the third but i'm not sure as he stop moulting, then started immediatly again ) and is looking a little scruffy, but i think he still looks alright... here he is on my couch one of him with the flash on accidently but i think its a cool photo as it shows his iris rings... one of him on my knee while he was searching for his ball (don't mind the poo ) one of him on the couch and one of him on the couch with his ball well i hope you enjoyed this Bing update, stay tuned for more... thanks PS i used a program called Picasa to touch up the photos and make them as true to real life as possible, and it worked great, i recommend it to anyone as it is very easy, and free! it is made by google and is actually a picture directory, but it lets you edit your photos aswell

Getting Him To Interact?
but will he ever come to me because he wants to just interact with me and talk to me?
-
Getting Him To Interact?
then why doesnt he ever want to be with me? all he ever does is fly away everytime i try to bond with him, he only stays on my shoulder when i have hidden his cage and his toys so he has nothing else to do, i play with him with his toys but he only ever wants to be with the toys ps. also whenever i come up to his cage and talk to him, he just climbs down to his stringy toy and pretends im not there and ignores me

Getting Him To Interact?
yes i have tried all of that, and when i mean whistle i mean i make a range of noises from talking to him, to doing the sucking between the lips and whistling tunes and random sounds and he doesnt care, i also do bribe him but that doesnt make him interact with me, he just takes it because its there, its as if he doesnt see me as a living thing, like he cant see me as something living because im so much bigger than him
-
Getting Him To Interact?
ive tried that (except recording my voice) and none of it works, i noticed that he only talks to me when he is really amped up, but that isnt very often...

Getting Him To Interact?
hi, Bing is about 11 months old now and is virtually fully tame, however he never wants to interact with me, whenever i whistle to him or anything he just sits there and stares, and if i have him on my finger and whistle to him he just flys away, is there ever going to be a way to get him to like and interact with me? or will keep disliking me and never want to actually interact? i have him out of his cage for about an hour a day, sometimes more and have him on my shoulder and he chirps away, but whenever i whistle back to him he just stops as if he is scared stiff, then starts again like as if he's thinking "what a loser i don't want to talk to him" then continue with his own conversation with himself... is there any way to get him liking and interacting with me? thanks

Babies Genders
well if you press the button with the arrow pointing right with the squiggly arrow next to it, it will give you setting for the flash go down to the one which has the squiggly arrow and a line through it meaning no flash, then you wont have any flash, then to use macro press the left button with the flower on it, on the screen it will comee up with some options, press down once, then okay and it should be on macro, now your ready to take the photo, secure the baby in position (lol), then press the shutter button half way down, wait for it to beep or make a green square on the screen, check the screen to see if the photo is going to be clear, then push it fully down, now you should get a nice clear photo. also if the shots you take are blurry, i would suggest checking if the lens is dity, if it is just clean it with a lint free cloth and vwola! hope this helps, good luck

Babies Genders

Life Of Molly
well i also go to school leave at 8:00 in the morning, come home at 4:30, then i take Bing up to my room and close the door and just let him cruise around while i do my homework, im not forcing you to do anything but if you want her to at least respond to you, you will have to spend more time than what you are right now good luck
-
Life Of Molly
i dont mean to burst your bubble but i think if you want her to progress at all you should be spending at least 1 hour with her every day, like 15 - 20 minutes before school, then 35-40 mins after school good luck :party0011:

Introducing Ben!
i love that cage (mainly because Bing has that one aswell) um.. but i would suggest cutting the perches so they fit the opposite way they are right now if that make sense? so from running frm the back of the cage to the front that way he gets more excercise from flying and if even better if you could get some natural branches as they are better for his/her feet... good luck

Introducing Ben!
hi, welcome to the forums! Ben is a cutie, if anything u you think he is overloaded with toys and would suggest taking afew out so that every couple of weeks you can switch them around and give him/her abit of variety, and you are right about the yellow face type 2 opaline (i think) ps. is that shell grit the far left bowl? if so budgies don't actually need shell grit as they dont need anything grinded down in their stomachs, welcome and good luck
