  1. my female turq will go for mostly yellow or yellow pied budgies. my male turq, before he died, was best friends with a male budgie who fed each other. the budgie was smart cos her would go feed his female or young. my avairy about 4m x 4m x 3m

  4. over time i've kept teils, finch's, quail and grass parrots with my budgies
  5. if i bred a red i wouldnt tell anyone until i have enough and had ran out of room to keep more red budgies. the first person who breeds the first red then i believe they would be anle to mane his price. i reckon we'll see white-faced green budgies before we'll see a red budgie.
  6. i have a couple like that only when their seed containers are empty and they're hungry. normally a hassle to get out of the door
  7. creaminos are 1 of the best colour mutations thats available. i'm trying at the moment to breed them with my birds
  8. both birds are pretty healthy. the male budgie has 3 youngsters who are all fine. i have seen him go into the box to feed them and mum. i think he has found an easier way to get food for the family - just ask the male turk to eat for him and collect food when needed
  9. i got a spare aviary so i might move the turks, so he will pay more attention to the female turk
  10. in my budgie avairy i have a pair of yellow turks parrots. 1 of my male budgies (who is also a dad of 3 newly hatched young), is very friendly with my male turk parrot as i seen them both feed each other.

  20. after 2 seasons now my bourkes have laid eggs, the eggs hatched but every time the female lets the young die after a couple of days . this time 5 eggs were laid, 4 hatched and 1 egg swapped with a newly laid budgie egg to try to save that youngster and the budgie egg is to see if the female is sitting too tight. i'm at the stage that if the last young die then i want to sell them but i dont want to as i do like the bourkes. she did this in a aviary on their own as well as in the budgie aviary.
  21. i have a large aviary that houses budgies, bourkes and turk parrots. the budgie dont bother the grass parrots, as the bourkes are siiting with 4 eggs and the female turk wont allow any budgies near her log. my only problem are the quails as my females wont let my male in the aviary
