I just love the first picture. He's so pretty.

Sorry for the late bump, I sorta forgot about this thread... It's a pretty and very popular plant, but ours is absolutely UGLY! It just has like 4-5 leaves at the top of it's looong shaft. We never managed to make it keep the lower leaves. My mom agreed to get rid of it a few days ago (She agreed it's uglyyy), but I'm wondering why she's waiting so long. Nevertheless I'm making sure it goes away by the weekend. And our aloe has tiny thorns but they are not hurting. Pat likes climbing on it and ripping them off. I take him off there whenever I catch him though, don't want him to destroy it. It's a gift I gave to my mom

I been wondering... My nesting box has two doors One is a black door and the other one is a transparent window. Thus far I have been keeping the black door on but I have been wondering... Can I take it off so I can see inside or would it stress Bud and stop her from going in there??

That looks horrible. Shouldn't you make him see the vet for a checkup? I hope he'll be okay.

A bit out of focus, but here they are! #6 was laid today! I ... I hope she's done already X_o Bud, please stop being a chicken XP

Well let's see. First egg was laid on the 24th, so... count up 18 days and such...

*Scratches head* S'what my aunt told me. To lock up the cage and all that. But I have that feeling that Pat would be miserable, and perhaps Bud too. Pat loves to go on the playgym and back to the cage. I put some food there, so he goes eat it and then goes back in the nest to feed Bud. When I come back home, I see Pat jump at the door for me to let him out. They were raised with the cage doors open most of the time, they don't like being locked.

She loves me? Are you sure? I could swear she wants me dead. Aah, well anyway, maybe I'm just being too worried. I'm sure she knows what she's doing far better than me. XD I just hope she won't end up ditching her clutch or anything. I'm not sure we'd be able to save any bird if that happens, unfortunately. No one's home during the day...

XP Ah, I tell you, she's crazy for my face. I'm sitting on the couch, just minding my own business. Either I'm watching TV, either I'm reading... The cage is right next to the couch. Bud's quiet in her nest, Pat is messing around (or he's in the nest too). Well I happen to turn to look at the birds and the next thing I know I have a blue bird smack in my face gnawing on my glasses and eyebrows. <_<; No warning, nothing. She just rushes out of the nest all ninja like and jumps on my face. If I don't hurry to put her on my finger, she's usually followed by Pat. (EDIT: There seems to be a pattern... She stay about 20-25 minutes in the nest, sometimes a hour, she comes out for 5 minutes or so to eat and attack me and goes back in. XP)

Oh. Well, gotcha. (I timed her. She went in at 5:55 and came out at 6:13... She's back in there now. She usually poops, eat, massacre my glasses and jumps back in the nest. Not always in the same order. <.<)

Well I'm pretty sure she's incubating... Cuz she sits on the eggs all the time when she's in the nest. And it's her 5th egg... So I guess it's about right. Right? X_o

I was wondering, is it normal that bud comes out so often out of the nest? Last night she looked quite restless, coming in and out of the nesting box... I poked an egg, it looked still very very warm, so I'm sure it's not harming the eggs. But I wonder, how many times does an hen come out of the box on average? Or more simple, how long does she stay in the box normally? And woot, 5th egg! I wonder if she's gonna stop anytime soon XP

AWWWW! They are so ADORABLE. I love 'em.

Oh hum nuts. Well, maybe mom will need some earplugs afterall. <.<; I'm all for cute but things get very uncute very fast when you want to sleep. (And frankly, I think baby birds are SCARY!)

Oh! Well I got plenty lamps. I have a nice desklamp that is good and warm and can be snapped after whatever furniture. And I'll keep the bra trick in mind! Haha... That's so quirky.

It's something I been wondering... Are baby birds noisy at night or they're sleeping soundly? The cage is arouns where someone sleeps so it might be something good for me to know.

Well I have a small cage... I have cardboard boxes to put around the thing... and I have a heat lamp down in the basement. It's red, but would it matter? It's stuff from my sister. Her lizard died two days ago so I can probably yoink it anytime I need it. And in your bra? (Laughing out loud)! That's creepily cute :hap:

Thanks guys! It really makes you amazed at the wonder of life, as cheesy as it sounds. :hap: That something so tiny tiny will become a bigger bird... NICE. I think that's the one I'll keep... I dunno what I'll name it yet.

It's okay, I'm done handling them. Just knowing that one is fertile is enough for me! Eeheeeee! Anyway, it probably means that the rest probably is too. :sad: Or most of them.
