In the raceing pigeons,they feed it during the breeding season,that were I pickeds it up from a pigeon forum,I was reading,It has all the vitums & minerals in the pellets,

Coprice M horse pellets,you will need to train your adult birds to eat them,but the young birds. will take to then,with out to much trouble.

Daz,they could of given you back you post count, Starting you off from scratch,is a bit tuff.

What are they homing pigeons,SW.Let them out & they would take off that fast, with in a minute they would be lost,

I think the problem is with small breeders is they spend to much time looking at the chicks & it disturbs the hen,just look at them once a day for the first week,or if you have to morning & night & let the hen look after the chick,All the pokeing & proding upsets the hen.

Yes you have to be a member of a club & also a nenber of the state branch. to buy the rings.

I may be harsh,but I would think if they are show birds & they are any good,they would of been taken by show breeders.They may be birds with rings on,But thats all they have got to show.The club would of looked after the breeder & his birds,& they would be passed on to other breeders, who could use them to an advantage.So don't get to excited when someone says they are cleaning out an avary,they are most likly pets.I see them come to the chook auction & I will not sell them,as a matter of fact I discourage people from takeing them.

You will need to become a member of a club & buy club rings & they will need to be on the bird,if you are going to show & the rings need to be put on the birds while they are chicks & they need to be show quailty.Iwould have at a guess,you have plenty of time to get your show cages, :hap:

If you hav'nt got a lience to collect cuttle bone,& Fishery & Wild Life see you,you may be in trouble.In Victoria anyway, Not been caught myself,but know a breeder,that was,let off with a warning & had to leave the cuttle bone behind.

You will need to buy the right birds,& thats harder said then done.You will need to crawl before you walk.It will happen but it will not happen over night.I will say you will get there ,quicker if you stick with breeding normals & you will need to have some greens,Pritty budgies will not win shows.

Which club are you joining,there is Hills, St George,Northside.Riverlands,West Sydney,& Macarther. Hills & St George would be the main clubs,I would think.Some big hitters in those 2.

I think you need to get onto a forum in England,there is a fair chance there is someone just around the corner, that could help you,

Try not to sit at the back,in the meetimg,& when interduced stand up & give a little infornation about,your birds & your self,But don't give the impression,you what to take over & change everything & when looking at the birds, Don't goo goo & say I have one at home s good as this one,eaven if you might have one. Now Iam not saying you are one of these skitty types,But those types go down like a lead ballon,in the mind of the long time.showers & breeders.

Breeding those pairs,you will have plenty of Y/F.

Just let her mate up with any male she wants to & when she lays,put the eggs under another hen or bin them & then put her with the male of your choice & she will go down & lay in no time,No rocket sience.

By the look of the rings on a couple of these birds are not young birds.What year are they.

Its pritty hard to get bids,if the birds are not worth,the asking price,or no one is interested.

I have been to a budgie auction,that finished early,Its either a slow auctioneer or to many birds. Slow auctioneer get up my nose & they think they are doing a wonderful job. Come on buyers,give us a run down on prices & who's birds.
