  8. Thanks Jimmy going to need it, besides my birds my car is playing up, The light switch you turn the lights on high is packing it in and so the lights flick off at night while driving VERY SCAREY and it's leaking oil badly, need a rocket gasket thingy and yesterday the radiator started leaking god everything happens at once being trying to save to 4 tyres, mind you I haven't been able to save much So I have been asking Greg to take me to the meeting Tuesday night and the shield but all he says is we will see, UGGHHHH
  9. Very nice Kaz
  10. Thanks Jimmy, are you going to the shield to have a look?
  11. Our selection is Tuesday night and then the selected birds go to Melbourne for the young bird shield on Sunday the 17th May then I think there is a panel of 10 judges that go around and pick the birds for the Nationals and I was told it is not nessecary the ones that win on the day it could be birds that came 15th which I find wierd. You would think it would be 1st 2nd and 3rd that got picked to go. Ithink the marjority is but not nessecarily. Well my count down is I have 12 birds I am preparing but the best white double factor , I don't think will make it to the selection but I still have 6 days so he may be right. His brother not sure either but if he does make it and if he does do well their is a great story behind that bird. Most of them still have pinfeathers and some have blood on their heads from blood feathers. I am waiting on tails and flight feathers. What a pain.
  12. The only thing that lets this fella down is his suffusion and his yellow isn't buttercup enough but as for type feather etc he is exceptional BUT the best thing is he is throughing his type and feather :hap: Thanks Daz that means a lot coming from you BUT i don't think they will get to the Nationals but you never know .
  13. Awesome photo !!!!!!!!Congratulations
  14. Thanks MSB and Kaz, I feel I am on my way Kaz, these 2 birds are worth their weight in gold to me as every baby they have had up till now are exceptional. The cock is passing on all is good traites even young from another hen he was down with last year are all very nice will take some pics of them soon and will post.
  15. Here are some birds that are out of the same parents from last year, Here are the parents When I put these birds down last year for the first time I told everyone that had come to visit and have a look at the birds that this mating wasn't areal good one because my first attempt of breeding for that yaer was all clear eggs so in the end I thought I will just have a bit of a muck around jsut see if they were both fertile as they were young birds I bred the year before. Well this is what I got and they have turned out to be my best breeding pair the first nest White Double Factor Spangle Hen Sky Cinnamon Opaline Spangle Hen second nest White Double Factor Spangle cock the strongest one His brother from the same nest and here is both of them There was another White DF hen from the second nest she was really quite nice bit had strong suffusion on her front, MB got her, as I have a lot of DF spangles. The parents are down now with 2 babies with 2 more eggs to hatch have my fingers crossed for more lovely birds.
  16. WOW those canadian birds are great wish I owned some of them, the heads on those babies wow some look freaky
  17. My cockatiel Charlie turned out to be girl, I was a bit disappointed but she is a real cutie she whistles pop goes the weasle, woof whistles and does 2 different phone rings and she has just learnt to say hello. When Gregs daughter Lisa comes to visit Charlie behaves like a boy and woof whistles her and does everything we have taught him I mean her to show off all in one go , you see Lisa is tall blonde and very pretty and Charlie thinks so too.

  20. Well I am a shocker because when at work I Have nothing to do so I have the page up most of the time, but i only do volunteer work, don't get paid for it so They don't really mind as long as I do their designs for them when asked and have them finished on schedule
  21. Wow that was great to see his birds like that.
  22. They are all black rings Daz, the white Df spangle is really a good bird but I don't think he will be at the selction this year because of a tail and wing flights chewed .Dam!!!! Oh well I know he is good can't wait to breed from him but he is still very young
  23. Thanks Jimmy, your baby is lovely I do believe you have an eye for the birds, So when you adventually get going you will have some nice birds
  24. He is lovely Jimmy. a very nice looking young bird
  25. They have to ne selected at the club here first Kaz to go to the shield then they have to be selcected at the shield to go to the Nationals. My main aim is to get to Melbourne for the shield, I am not fussed about the nationals because I am not that keen to stress them out too much. BUT one day would be nice  I have plenty of time to get to the nationals if I ever breed anything good enough. At the moment white DF spangle has wing damage so he may miss out and we pulled his tail feathers both of them after the last show because they were broken but I can see them so they might be right, His brother is nearly as good as him will take pics later and show you both of them, MB got the hen out of that nest but I don't know if she is still alive. Are you trying got the nationals Kaz?
