Normal when chicks are weaned, they will loose some weight, as they are not feeding from their parents - Also change of food too as mum and Dad were giving them what they eat, Now they take in what they eat I haven't seen Hulled oats in a supermarket before, I know that the produce store sells them .... Ask them if they sell it or if they can get it ordered in !!!

I was under the impression from her symptoms that it was baterial .... If you are worried about which one worked - Use the anibotics first then change to the Pellets / granuals .....

  21. Hey all. I;ve been reading through some old post of whate members use and have as a base in their avairy... I came across Sand, which is layed over either cement, timber, bricks, lino, Gyprock - Now i am wondering how does that work? members were talking about play sand, beach sand etc so which is the best option? When cleaning it, How is that done? With a poop scooper ( like a kitty litter one) or is it all tossed and reaplaced???? I am thinking about using CFS Compressped Fibro Cement! it looks and feels like cement but sooo much lighter. and now seeing the sand, I am thinking about using that too?? Thoughts please
  22. It is a contraverse dissue some say Only young birds can be infected by their parents who have been infected by their parents and so on. Some say it is like PBFD and can be tranmitted to others via saliva and dust etc - Others have breed with Fm budgies with no ill affect at all - It is one of those topics that is hard to be correct with as EVERYONE has their own opinion ...
  23. WOW - Thanks for sharing Elly,

Agree with what they ^ said
  25. Oh Dave, You got Bette. I couldn't take her as I know she will be picked on here. She is looking fantastic, compared to when Missylu first got them All the birds were in a HORRIBLE state we sat there treating all the birds clipping up over grown beaks, worming, trwating scaley face ( we cried when we seen her) it was soo sad, and well missylu has a soft heart and wouldn't leave one behind!!! I am sure they will be as happy with you as they were with Missylu congrats
