Ummm I agree with the other regarding covering the cage ... But I am stuck in the wing clipping .... Was both wings clipped? I don't understand how ( if clipped correctly) that s/he could fly and land on the cage. Unless you are standing right next to it ???? Good luck with the taming

Sounds like what everyone else has said you have the wrong cage for a budgie ... If you can put your finger through the bars Then the bar spacing is too big

Agree with all that has been said .. The more the veges and soft food the easier it is for the parents to feed bubs ... Are you sure you didn't mistake Vitamins for Veges ?

Agree with Dave & Kaz .. Do it in a holding cage first .. AND GO FOR IT MATE!!!! You may find that you have better results

I agree - When they are doing that EEEEKKK EEEEKKK noise LOL .. They are more alert - stretching their heads and being a sticky beak ... This is the time that they watch their parents and what they do .... So adding millet. seeds and etc to the nest box helps them learn to crack seed so by the time they fledged 99% of them will be eating seed on their own - HENCE not dropping in body weight suddenly
