Interesting ..... Lime can reduce bacterial growth and neutralize odors - I can see why they would use it ... But I am weary of it and the sand being wet and only cleaned a few times a year .... Interesting though ... thanks for sharing

:laughter: okay Now i am on a roll with issues with the birds this week ...... I was out having a cuppa and noticed my 5 month old Hen head down BUM UP ... . Trying to get Mac to get on top of her Mac is 9 - 10 months old ... They are in a Portable aviary with other birds - No empty seed dishes or anywhere else for them to mate .... Now this could be just a Puberty thing - FUN thing - or a mating thing - I am going to go and change the cage around and use Occy straps as perches for a little while ( so that there isn't anything stable for them to mate) I can't remove her or him at the moment as all the cages are being used ...... Crazy times now with the birds ... I have a Feather plucker - I have a New quarantined birds showing signs of health issues ( lucky they are in quarantine) Now young birds getting jiggy with it ... OH I HATE OCTOBER
