  16. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...;highlight=molt FAQ has a good basic Molt article But I have noticed that my budgies go through Molt at season changes :hap: But they are freaks LOL MOLTING Here is a good read for molting - Make sure that they have plenty of food and rest too as it is hard on a budgie going through molt
  17. LOL Elly ..... you stalker :hap:
  18. Hi and congrats on the eggs and hatchlings :hap: You really do need to check the babies! - It shouldn't disturb the parents - You need to count how many eggs there are and any egg shells that are in the nest box from hatched chick should be removed incase it covers any eggs and prevents the chick from being able to come out . You will alos need to check that the parents are feeding the babies - Look at the babies throats there should be a yellow colours lump so to speak in there that is a good sign that the parents are feeding the chick - If there are any dead ones in there that are left it can cause the nest to get baterica and you could loose the lot - It is daughting at first with new babies you don't know if you should touch them and etc - But it is very important - There is a LINK HERE CARING FOR BABIES IN THE NEST Make sure that Mum and Dad have plenty od calcium and fresh food and greens too .... If I have left anything out I am sure that the other breeders with add If you can get a chance a picture would be great so the Mutation experts can tell you what the chicks will look like also it will give us a lcue as to how old that babies are ... As for unhatched eggs, leave them in until the babies are a bit older or you can candle them to see if they are fertile or Dis ( DEAD IN SHELL ) ....Look for movement and a heart beat
  19. Dad is a All White apart from a Violet band across his belly Mum is a Mauve Yf Oplaine

  22. 1 is YF 1 is Wf So look worse comes to worse I will paint their faces yellow ... FOR NEAT WILL HAVE YF A BABIES MAHH AHA AHAHA okay so that kinda sounded better in my head then it does here but well - I was so sure that YF being dom that I would get yf But since there is 6 in the nest box, and 3 are yet to feather up they may be the 50% YF
  23. again LOL
  24. He He He , Thanks Dave But Even I know that you can't get a yellow face that then turns white It's just that Angel My YF has her 6 babies 3 are pinks and 3 are 1 - 2 weeks old they are starting to get their pin feathers and their heads are still black and with all my other yellowface babies they were yellow at this stage, so I am hoping that the 3 little pinkies are Yellow Facesmum is a YF Opaline Mauve and Dad is a Violet Ress Pied ..... Elly YES THIS IS CORRECT - Because I was the one that posted the articles and studies :DGreat memory
