Congratulations Libby And Renee
i know norm im just saying how the standards are different i wasnt meaning it in a bad way. they are nice birds but there just different standards of birds here. regards joel Things can be said in many ways, choice of words often matter, or the way you say something, if you don’t want to offend people…regards…Norm.

Congratulations Libby And Renee
As Kaz says Joel, a little more tact on your part would go a long way, it’s immaterial to us whether the birds in the East or the West are bigger. We are about encouraging people who are working on their birds for improvement. It’s easy showing off nice birds that have been bought with $$$’s what matters is the product of peoples own aviaries & seeing their skills in improving their birds, producing top birds takes many years, it’s the journey that matters.

The Challange Has Been Set...
NO…NO… I only tried to teach them about Budgies…I’m the INNOCENT ONE…I didn’t teach them anything BAD…believe me…I was too late in their development to have any influence in other directions…the damage was all done…

The Challange Has Been Set...
INNOCENT…where did that word come from??? The words Maesie, Neat & INNOCENT don't seem to belong in the same sentence… to me. SWEET maybe but INNOCENT no way… You guys have become so wise re Budgie matters that I haven't got much to do around here any more than just stir & make things hard for you…

Advice Needed
As far as I know the white part of the dropping is the urine. I would try the Raspberry cordial they say it’s best to get the highest % of Raspberry I could only find Cascade 25%, but is you can find the Schweppes, that sounds good but wasn’t in the shops here. I put 10mls Apple cider Vinegar to a litre of water. If you want to breed her I would put her in a cabinet with a male you are prepared to risk & see if she can produce young. I have had birds that had some issues that never cleared up, I paired them up & bred a few batches out of them, none of their young were affected…if she wont or can’t breed then it wouldn’t be worth risking putting her with the other birds. After spending that kind of money on her, you would at least hope to get some young out of her...good luck.

Dark Factors In Grey Birds
I know also exactly what you mean Falki…it should be possible the see the different stages of Dark factor eg. Light, Dark & Olive. Like Nerwen said I have never given that any thought…but I think maybe it isn’t possible to tell, as I have many Grey Greens & you would think that there must be some variation, but I think they all look the same. The only difference is if it’s carrying Cinnamon it turns the Grey Green into a sort of Mustard shade, but all my other Grey Greens seem to look alike.

Need Help!
At that age it should be capable of eating itself. If you have had it more than 24 hours & it still looks healthy, either it’s being fed or it’s feeding itself. To help it make sure the feed is obvious to it, at first it may be helpful to spread some feed on the floor of the cage.

Some Of The New Guys N Gals
Thanks for that Neat I really appreciate that…the only problem is you forget by that time mine will be worth 2,000”s… Kaz I wonder if we tied weights on their mask feathers when they are in the nest it will make them deeper…like they do in Africa with their ears & lips etc…might work???

Black Cere
Yes they say the black ones are the best ones so as others have said "be happy don't worry". You con Kaz...I was scared of that thing too, even though I saw BBC on it I thought it was too dangerous to click on.

Show Us Your Kids :)
Great pictures guys…I would love to show off my daughters & their kids, but I fear for my life if they found out I had put pictures of them on the net. Neat I suspected, so wasn't surprised with yours…I definitely can see the resemblance…but being a Mum I'm sure the fact that they seem an improvement on their parents makes you very proud. Sorry Neat your real ones are cute too… Pie watch out exposing those Naked pictures, we took lots of them & when my eldest daughter grew up she destroyed all of them. She wasn't amused. I am 52 and my kids are nearly 28 and 31 Now you've done it Kaz…you've shattered the image. AV probably thinks I'm just a teenager too...LOL...

Is Contact Safe?
I would think it would be okay Neat as long as you watch that it doesn’t come up around the edges & a bird gets stuck to it, but by that time I guess it would have lost most of it’s stickiness.

Thanks Neat
Not just a pretty face eh?…don't know where she gets that "BLONDE" complex from. And all the work she does around here…she’s busier than my bees

What Is Your Song?
Just for you NORM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZULzyVPbc **bump ** for Norm Sigh…thanks Kaz…someone else even remembers it…actually I heard it played on the local community radio here not that long ago…my next brother to me…liked the song “Nursey come over here & hold my hand” all 2nd world war songs.

Feathers, Head, Masks Etc
I know what you mean Dave to me the bird has to function first as a healthy capable bird, before I think of what it will look like in a show. Us humans do some cruel things to other life forms in our quest for “THE IDEAL”. The Lutof bird has some good points…great spots with the bulls eye which you don’t see that much any more…I have some more show types that don’t even fly, it could be something to do with feather quality or buffy-ness, or if the directional feather is too great…can they really see in front of themselves to allow them to fly.

What Is Your Song?
Why are we not surprised Neat? Don't know it's name & it wasn't the day I was born…was a bit too young then…but soon after I loved a song that goes… "run rabbit, run rabbit run, you'll get by without your apple pie, run rabbit run rabbit run" bet there ain't too many around here remember that one…LOL…round about 1944-5 something like that… Comon Kaz you don't expect us to believe that…I bet Dean Martin didn't even know you were born…let alone write a song about it…sorry Kaz you can see I'm in a crazy mood this morning…must be getting close to Spring or Full Moon or both…LOL…

I Shouldnt Laugh But...................
What a terrible Mum…what did you do that made him think the world was coming to an end…? He’s too young to know about Global Warming…

The Best Blonde Joke
I don't believe it Neat, surely you as a blonde wouldn't even believe that. She ate the rooster & now thinks that the cornflakes is the puzzle…noooo too much to believe. OOOps now I see the Rooster is on the Corflakes packet…sorry I must be Blonde.
