Hi my name is Julie, I have only just started in the breeding game/hobby. I have 9 budgies including a Latino and an Albino (both hens), a green (English cock), Green (hen) and blue (cock), a grey(cock), pied (hens), and I think have a clearwing (hen) and a pastel (hen). I havent started to breed them yet, as I am in the process of working out the best kind of aviary to keep them in. I have them all in 4 medium sized cages of 2 or 3. My pastel hen come with a few eggs (3) and has laid one since she has arrived here. But she is not sitting on them. Is this normal??? Or when should I remove them from the nesting box that they are in? She is paired up the grey cock. Since this is my first time attempting to breed budgies, I could do with any help or advice that you can offer me. I have a few questions too...I will list them below. Can you change cocks if they have had a partner before? With my latino and albino budgies, what kind of cock would I need to get for them, so that I end up with more latinos and albinos? Can I get a cinnamon from the birds that I already have? How many eggs do they lay before nesting and hatching? The length of time it takes to hatch an egg? okay I have worn myself out with the questions for now. Cheers, Julie
