  1. Maddi, Congratulations... so far, so good. Lots of lovely fluff on bub 1 Feathers.
  2. Hi Norm, you are getting some great birds for your aviary. I love them both. Feathers.
  3. Hi Shauna, welcome to the BBC form. I hope that you will enjoy your time here Feathers
  4. Joey, you may have missed it, but I did answer your question about that pair. They are both birds of reasonable quality, but they both have hinged tails. For that reason I wouldn't pair the. They would pass that trait onto their offspring. Feathers.
  5. Hi Kaz, Looking good so far. Good luck with them. Feathers.
  6. I did say SHE was beautiful I agree with greywing. Skyblue recessive pied greywing. Feathers.
  7. Hi Norm, I see what you mean about them looking like dirty opalines. It looks a bit like a painting that has been smudged a bit Feathers.
  8. Hi Ravengypsy, Congratulations on getting the little girl you were hoping for. You will be able to tell after Tori goes through her first moult whther she is a YF type 1 or a YF type 2. If she is a type 2 some of the yellow will 'bleed' into her chest area and turn the feathers green. Tori sure is beautiful. Feathers.
  9. Norm, you are doing brilliantly with all these new additions to your rares aviary. I will be interested to see how the pairing with the BES goes. As you know I have a couple of BES and a split to BES bird. Feathers.
  10. Hi Sunnie, They look like plum eyes to me. I think she is a skyblue recessive pied. She is beautiful. Feathers.
  11. Hi Julie, congratulations. It is so exciting when they start to hatch and you see them grow. Feathers.

Hi all, It is hard to believe that my little pal is only 9 weeks old. It seems like he has been out of the nest for ages. Here are a couple of new photos that I just took... Hey, no tricking! I know they aren't real... Feathers.
  13. Joey, we posted at the same time.. I just fixed it in the original post too. Pinocchio is a beautiful budgerigar :rip: Feathers.
  14. Hi, you nearly got it... In photobucket click on the IMG Code. It will automatically copy, then right click and press paste in your message. Feathers.
  15. Joey, what a very sad outcome for this hen. Don't blame her for what she did to the cock, it really isn't her fault. He may have been trying to tend to her, as any good cock would, but if she is in a pain state she would reject his help and peck at him to stop. The cock, by nature, would continue to try to help her, despite any injuries he might recieve. That is what has gone wrong. This hen needs care, preferably vet attention, but if that is not available please provide her with quality food, including soft foods and calcium suppliments and keep a close eye on her. Moving her at the moment is the worst possible thing you could do for her. Feathers.
  16. Hi Joey, they are both reasonable budgerigars, but the most noticable fault on both is a badly hinged tail. I wouldn't put them together for this reason as their offspring will also carry this fault. Feathers.
  17. psst... I think I'd better reply in a PM Feathers.
  18. The information is part of our own site and was compiled by Elly from her own and other members experience. Have a look around the FAQ section (press on Budgie FAQs at the top of the page), there is a LOT of great information on all aspects of keeping budgies. Feathers.
  19. Hi annq, the minimum age would be 6 weeks. 4 weeks is WAY too young. Some, when removed from their nests too early can get 'depressed' and stop eating. Feathers.
  20. Hi Bea, Great photos and fantastic subjects, Bea. Love the last shot! Feathers.
  21. Hi Sunnie, Harley looks like a Yellow face type 2 skyblue opaline and lucy looks like a creamino. This means both birds are blue series, so you could end up with another Harley. All birds will be yellow faced blues. If Harley is split for ino then you may have creamino's too. Feathers.
  22. Hi Chryso, I am very late replying, I know, sorry. They are looking very happy together. I have missed their pretty little faces, especially Squee's Feather.
  23. Hi Adam, Pretty please, can we have a pictorial update on your aviaries and birds? Thanks in advance, Feathers.
  24. Feathers replied to billyboy's topic in Budgie Pictures
Hi Billboy, you do have some lovely birds. Just keep in mind though, that your photos are 3072 pixels x 2304 pixels, which exceeds the monitor size of the majority of people who have set their monitors to display approx 1024 x 860. This means that they cannot display your photos on just one page. Feathers.
  25. Hello Riki, you have picked up 4 very lovely exhibition (Engligh) budgies. If you are asking about which to pair. I would put the greens together and the blue with the grey. Feathers.
