  1. Don't worry Paul.. I'm with you.. I'm a bluey as well!! Have you noticed the blue budgies are always the first to go in pet shops?!?!?! that must mean something.. hehe
  2. (Laughing out loud)..... Elly & FGM.. you guys crack me up!! hehe.. shaving her legs... haha actually that's why I picked her up to start off with, I thought it was scaley on her foot. Her beak is perfectly fine, but I had to make sure the feet was okay too.. that's when I noticed the feathers on her legs!! Poor girl..... I don't think I'll breeding her so I can get 'feathery legged budgies'... but when I have the bigger aviary set up and if she wants to breed, I will let her.. she's one of my best budgies...
  3. Thanks. White recessive?? Do you mean Spirit? second picture? he's a DF dominant pied for sure.. not a recessive pied.. :hap: He's got one iris ring only.. hehe..
  4. (Laughing out loud)... well that would be a bit hard for the both of ya!!! eheh Yeah I think she's very special... she's one of my favourite before I noticed those feathers, and now even MORE special!! I had to laugh at your 'bum fluff' comment.. hehe... I hope it is only just misplaced feather shafts... I told my mum about YueLiang, and mum thinks I should breed more like her!!! (Laughing out loud)... I think not.. hehe She seems fine with it all, I dont think it bothers her at all.. I mean I haven't noticed her preening her feet more than usual, so I think it's okay for now?!?! Or at least I hope so anyway... Yeah, I think you should go for more 'exotic' names.. hehe.. so far I have two in chinese names.. I was going to name a few more, but Daniel can't seems to remember them, so I opted not to for now.. hehe

awww, what gorgeous pics!!! I just love the shots of Cookie!! and oh boy, those two meanies.. hehe, just don't want to leave poor Bailee alone on his special 'perch'!! hehe
  6. Oh my, and what a lady she's grown into!! So good to hear that things are going well for you and Jimmie. and that she's keeping your ear ummm 'clean'.. hehe.. I like how it can tickle so much.. hehe...
  7. While I was in there taking photos of little YueLiang's feathery legs, I thought I'd take some pics of the other budgies, but I ran out of space on my card as I had a whole lot of my cockatoos photos on there as well.. (this is a 1gig card!!) anyway.. here are four decent pics.. not the best due to the lighting at the time of the day... Milo having lots of fun in the aviary.. he's growing up fast.... Here he is hanging out with Daffy... Blondie with her man Spirit (DF dom pied)... and Olive hanging out together... Sunny with Loopy.. I think he's not so loopy when he's with other budgies, but he likes to tag along with Milo alot.. Hope, Miss Bossy and YueLiang
  8. Oh yeah, I know that one.. Been there a few times before. I'll see if I can get Daniel to go tomorrow to have a looksy, but I'll have to be very good about it though... hehe.. I can't really acquire any new addition as yet unfortunately.. afterall the aviary is still at Paul's.. However, just let me know what you'd like, and I'm more than happy to get it for you. :hap: Easy... hehe
  9. okay, so I'm truely puzzled.. I've seen feathers growing on pigeon's leg/feet... but I noticed today, my creamino hen - YueLiang (meaning Moon), has a feathery feet! I have never in my life come across something so ummm 'funky', but I'm don't know what to think!!! She's acting normal, and nothing seems wrong. Aside the fact that she's molting, and I think these feathers have just started to come in.. Is there anything wrong with her? or is she just 'special'... (Laughing out loud)... Anyway, here are some pics for those trying to understand what I'm talking about!!! (Laughing out loud) Oh please ignore the dirty feet.. she's just been foraging on the ground... The other foot... Any thoughts??? Please please please please tell me, I'm not the only one with a feathery legged budgie!! hehe.. she's the only one that has the feathers too...
  10. Oh my favourite yellowface grey has got to be CUSTARD!! I want him!!! I don't think Kaz is going to give him up.. hehehe.....
  11. oh really? bummer about Chilli's sibling.. I truely thinks that he's a spangle clearbody...
  12. Awww, they are all sooo cute!!! I love chilli... and do you have pics of Chilli's sibling? You know that spangle yellow looking one?!?!? And what 'special budgies' are you talking about?!?!?! (Laughing out loud)
  13. (Laughing out loud).. thanks Feathers... Are you talking about pet magic? or somewhere else? I'll have to pop in there and have a looksy..

wow, that looks good!! I bet the bird loves all those room to fly in... lucky birdies. :ausb:
  16. Well that's not necessarily true.. I wouldn't consider the Fallow extremely rare, but I would think that it's rare enough, but I got my fallow from a pet shop. Though he is of a pet size, but I wouldn't say that I've come across another one in the pet shop ever!
  17. I'm still saying that it's opaline clearbody...
  18. My guess and my first impression is Opaline clearbody.
  19. Thank you. It is a great aviary!! I can't wait to have it set up for my birdies.. hehe.. they'll sure have plenty of space to fly around!!
  20. Yeah I think it's just some sort of colouring... I could easily make my albino goes all orange by giving them a big dish of grated carrots.. They tend to walk around in the dish and dig around and all that therefore colouring the feathers.
  21. Well we're working on something.. so I think this will be good for my 20 or so aviary budgies. Cheeta if you are getting Pauls aviary you need MORE BUDGIES !! (Laughing out loud)... now there's a thought. I wouldn't mind some show budgies rejects... (Laughing out loud)...

That's a great idea Daz.. I didn't know that they work as wormer and laxative. Now with the aloe vera, you said that to leave the skin on right? But do I cut them into smaller pieces? I have lots of aloe vera that I can use, so I'll definitely give it a try for all my birds. I'm assuming that 115gm will make 2 litres of the 'aloe water', from how you described it. Is that correct? Just want to make sure that I have it right. Thanks Daz.

  24. Hey Paul, I just sent you a PM regarding the aviary... :budgiedance:
  25. Wow Paul! that's a great aviary!! I'd love to get it, but I just don't have the space for it now...
