l have been wondering if l'm right about their mutation, please correct me if l'm wrong in both of these pics, Sweety is on the left, Sky is on the right. Sky is on the right, Sweety on the right (this is their baby picture ) Sweety: she has an iris ring so she is a violet, dominant pied, cinnamon and l'm not sure but is she a spangle or not ? Sky: l can't see an iris ring on her but l will take a closer look at her in a while and l will get back to you all (**edit- l just checked sky and she does have an iris ring **), l believe she is a sky blue, dominant pied, opaline, clear flight .

Hi and welcome to our forums don't worry about not seeing her eat or drink, alot of people on here has never seen their budgie drink water. since she is new she is probably just starting to get use to her surroundings, you can spread some seeds on the floor for her to find them ( she may not know where her food is in the cage yet, soon she will figure it out. ) sorry that your little one got mites. l personally wouldn't use that spray on her, l would go to an avian vet to get her properly treated. also most pet stores don't know alot about birds and alot of times they give improper advice. what you could also do is rub a very tiny amount of vaseline, mineral oil or olive oil on her beak/feet where the mites are, making sure none of it gets on her feathers. it will help her to get some relief from the itches caused by the mites. she will be nervous around you for a while since she is new but l'm sure that once she has been around you for a while, she will start to calm down and start to act just like a regular budgie oh and by the way, we love pictures here and if you can we would love to see pics of your little snowy.

no this is not a dumb question, it is a very good one. for me l like to cook the legumes for them, l do the same with brown rice and also barley. l give my budgies fresh peas since they are straight from my garden, frozen is fine to give them once thawed but fresh is always better
