  1. Well I had my first day at TAFE today - it was awesome! Lots and lots of information handed out ! My folders full already! It should be loads of fun!!
  2. Well Deb? I'm busting to know - how did Jadon go at Kindy??
  3. Thanks Kaz, I will! She is quite good today, but not out of the woods just yet.The vet is going to ring me this afternoon to check on her.
  4. I have to take all of my 8 pups to the vets in a few weeks for the microchips and vaccinations and I need to think of an idea on how to ID them so there are no mix-ups etc. One of them is sold so I want to identify him as well. There are special ID collars overseas on Ebay but nothing here. I thought someone out there might have been in the same predicament and will have some good ideas with out breaking the bank??
  5. Sure is Liv. The look in her eyes this morning said it all - "Help me Mum, I'm sick. "
  6. Oh, you poor thing Deb! But I'm sure Jadon will be fine tomorrow, and he'll love being at"big school" with his big brother and sister! Try not to worry too much. Treat yourself to a special outing while he's at school. Will be thinking of you - let us know how he went!
  7. She is on antil-inflammatory drugs, calcium tablets and antibiotics and isnt allowed to feed her pups any longer.(She had more or less stopped anyway. Phew, that was scary, it can be fatal if left too long, I'll be a nervous wreck soon!
  8. Bella has responded very well to her treatment and is coming home!!! Will have more information when I go to pick her up
  9. My gorgeous Bella is at the vets this morning. I went down to check her and the pups just a while ago and she was just lying on the floor shivering :bliss:  I raced her out to the vets and they told me she more than likely has milk fever. She's putting her on a drip which will build up her calcium and fingers crossed will be okay, will keep you posted........
  10. Thankyou all so much for your encouragement! Its something that I've wanted to do for so long!! Now that my children are getting older I feel a bit free to do the things I want to do!
  11. That's great Saiworwolf! I dont know why I waited till I was nearly 48 to do this!!
  12. While I was at work today I finally decided to bite the bullet and enrolled myself at TAFE to study vet nursing! I'm quite nervous about it all as I dont cope well with change. It starts on the 11th Feb and goes for 2 years. (only one day a week). So I will continue to work as well, just a few minor changes to my shifts at work! Wish me luck!!
  13. Well the puppies are now three weeks old today. I thought I would see if they were ready to start nibbling on a bit of raw meat.Well! They were ready alright! They only had a little bit this morning but tonight I made rissoles for tea and saved some raw mince for them. You should have seen them go for it! They have only just started getting teeth so they sought of sucked on it and they gobbled up every little bit of it! I took a few photos of them today so here they are!!
  14. Well Elly you have an excuse now to come "Down Under" !!!
  15. Thanks Trish, you can gladly have the washing basket but not the contents!! The sheen on their coats is from feeding the mother all natural food and none of that @#@# in canned dog food.
  16. My babies were 2 weeks old yesterday so here are just a few pics for you to goo and gaah over!
  17. 4 out the 8 puppies have their eyes open!! They are only 11 days old! I will take some more pics on Tuesday when they are 2 weeks of age.

  22. How time flies! The puppies are a week old already! They have almost doubled in size as you can see by the photoes!!
  23. thats so ace i have been sitting back waitting for these puppys to show their heads soooooo lovlely to see she managed you are a fantastic mum and take care of your bella so well good going Thanks so much GenericBlue. I love all my pets and try to give them the absolute best that I can. I took all the pups and Bella to the vets this morning for a check up and he was very impressed with them all. He couldnt get over just how healthy Bella was as well as all the pups! I told him how I'd cut out commercial dog food and give them food like chicken, mince, vegies, bones etc and he said and I quote" Hmm, I might come and live at your house!" All the pups have a lovely shiny coat which might come from the a variety of oils I mix together and added to Bella's food while she was pregnant! Will keep you up to date with more pics soon!
  24. Thanks Trish, I think she's gorgeous too! I have edited my post so I'll just re-do it agian. Bella actually has EIGHT puppies, the last one being a tiny bit smaller than the others but is gaining strength slowly. There were 5 out of the 8 pups born breech and 3 head first. I have never helped deliver pups before but I had done heaps of research on the net about what might go wrong so when I saw the first pup being born back feet first I didnt panic and I think that helped Bella remain calm. She is very attentive to all her puppies and I know will be a fantastic mother!
  25. The sac holding the first puppy emerges! Can someone please help me out of this yucky stuff! Oh, thank God for that - I'm out! Dont chew my cord off too short Mum! This is so exciting Mum! I make pretty cute babies dont I??
