  5. No concave ?? Then YES start adding more nesting materials. Did you know if you use flaky bran or quick cooking porridge oats ( the finer ones ) in a much thicker layer then they rarely if ever throw it out ? Its too hard to do so

Unless your Dad is driving a car over the slab you dont need 100mm. 75mm is fine for any shed. My concrete guys said so and mine was 6m by 4.3m. Colourbond sheets I bought new from recycle part of the rubbish tip and the salvage yard varied between $5-$7 a sheet. If your wood is inside and you dont want the budgies chewing it, just wrap the wood with leftover aviary mesh. Well I used untreated pine to make my aviaries and I painted it with non-toxic paint to ensure its longevity - However, my budgies still like to give it a good chew ... to no ill effects though cause it is safe. :grbud:Most paint is toxic to budgies ( and that can be compared to quantities ingested too ).......unless you bought child safe paint. The green paint you used is normal fence paint, water based, I believe. My budgies chew the paint in my aviary too. Wish I hadnt painted some surfaces........I may yet cover them....the ones they get at anyway
  14. Lucky Dave! I'm sure there is a reason you need to send me one like Quiche too, right Kaz! after what I saw in your nests Nubbly, you have no need for my humble budgie babies

Also, 100mm isnt necessary for a shed or aviary. I was going to do 100mm but a bigger better show budgie breeder who has been a builder all his life said I only needed 75mm and so did the concrete guys. Less concrete....cheaper too
  17. Where are they????? There on the wings is where they are......... Sorry Kaz obviously where you see grey, Jen and I see brown. Even in the "what sex are they" pics I see cinnamon. A monitor thing huh ??
  18. Did you treat her for her scaly face ?
  19. A new greywing baby
  20. With Frannie in the icecream tub and sibling to Quiche in another nest
  21. 12mm or half inch maximum. We lost budgies out of anything wider than that in the early days before we knew what we know now :rip:
  22. You reckon ?? :rip: you could be right there
  23. Quiche is out of the box. I had to remove the nestbox to stop Mummy breeding again. Quiche is now in a small kindie cage with Big Blue's babies and others.
  24. I am waiting for the scenic holiday photos and some stories of your trip. PS Could use you again as my leadlight offsider :rip:
