  1. Why would you say greywing at this stage ? The chick is definitely an opaline for a start......too soon to be saying greywing. Please post pictures of the parents. Oh, Okay. That's how my greywing babies looked, but maybe it's just a coincidence. I do still have a lot to learn. Well you could be right anyway....as the Dad does look like a greywing now that we have seen this photo He's pretty, isn't he? And I can see the mom is opaline, so Dad must be split for it, huh? Yep

Hi there  I love that crested of yours
  10. Yes if he will take it
  11. Yes
  12. Have you felt him to see how thin he is Ratzy ? and to clean up his bottom if he is poopy ? Seems to be a spangle.
  13. Made a better puppy enclosure....the little pups at age three weeks go to the toilet on the newspaper so in part they are beginning to be toilet trained.
  14. you can use betadine
  15. Often foot injuries can involve loss of toes due to lost blood circulation. What antiseptic have you applied and do you have a heat lamp next to the bird ?
  16. Ratzy........despite previous dealins with this store about this bird, anything else is pure conjecture. Assumptions. You cannot imagine a story of what happened to this bird without facts and believe it to be true.....AND you must be careful what you say as people can sue for things said that cast aspersions against them without basis in fact. Maybe you need to inquire innocently after that bird and see what their answer is. BUT until then and even after........be very careful what you imagine happened and what you say. PS Great save    :hooray: :hooray: :hooray:
  17. Budgies also like ENDIVE which is easy to grow as well.
  18. Puppies are now 3 weeks old and are doing little growls and barks and playing with each other, and biting and hanging off their mothers butt and ears  They run around now and they escape the cardboard box so we have to make a wooden box today. One puppy escaped the box yesterday when we went out and we found him asleep in a bowl of his mothers dinner ( sausages )
  19. The lone father is doing well...chicks are all fed and he seems to be enjoying his role without stress. foster chick from a Jan McMahon dom pied hen to a Splat cobalt cock
  20. Iris rings ? and better photos of back of the bird.....wings and tail.
  21. I just want to say, thankyou to those explaining more fully the thoughts behind the decision making processes
  22. Thankfully not too often here
  23. Splats DF cock is now a lone father. I found the hen attacking her chicks and trying to lay a second clutch.....not attacking severely but enough to be worried for the chicks welfare....the littlest chick who was being plucked was further being attacked by the mother, and she also attacked the DF cock as well pulling some of his flights out as he tried to protect the chicks. I removed the mother and the DF cock s finishing the raising of the babies.
