  1. I disagree that its too soon.....note the darker feather markings also that absolutely show the chick will be opaline
  2. looks no different to any df dom pied i ever had Paul Heres two of mine I once had Atlas Max you will often find a df dom pied also can have an iris ring in one eye and none in the other. They also often have two colours on the cere in males...both pink and blue. Heres another members DF dom pied and another and showing the iris ring in one eye and not in the other

  8. dont waste the vet visit.........no matter what happens ......ask to be shown how to crop feed. Buy a 14 guage crop needle and syringue good luck.

  11. Sweetheart.............the very first chance you get............................get someone who knows how to show you how to CROP FEED. Many a crop feed has saved the life of a bird that wont take enough food by beak. Make it your number one priority to learn this skill....even if you pester your vet to show you how.
  12. Number 5 is a DF dom pied not recessive...... and proof is in this photo as well .....see iris rings I didnt need to see the iris rings ...the fact it was DF dom is obvious.

  17. Eldest chick is showing as dom pied so far. Another chick hatched and is way smaller than the others. Four chicks in the nest.

    He may have some pied inheritance causing the lack of iris rings. I have a dom pied with same issue.
  19. quarantine in a cage next to the other is NO QUARANTINE AT ALL.seperate cage........seperate room at least 5 metres away....minimum 30 days Males dont sort anyone out................does your friend have nestboxes in this aviary ? and if so are there underaged budgies in there ? I really dont think the solution for Elly was a good one.
