  1. You should take them away. There is nothing to be gained by her sitting on useless eggs.
  2. Just look at the photos then I did, but it takes a while sifting through 40 pages Life's tough sometimes :budgiedance: :budgiedance:
  3. Just look at the photos then
  4. Any reason why it cant be built off the existing shed or garage in that photo and at a similar height ? Its not real hard to do and that means you have the back wall already in place. All you have to plan is building materials and you can buy sheeting and metal cheap enough. Go look through my aviary build and see how mine was done. You may get some ideas.
  5. Good position for the new plans Still go higher than the 2m if you can. Will be hot in there for breeding in summer and cold in there in winter with the lower roofline.
  6. Jake. Good to have you here :budgiedance:
  7. The experts have spoken. There is no doubt at all. She is a female. and hiccup is a great name for a girl budgie. Time you believed and started saying SHE too
  8. Put a beards on these boys and they are spitting images of you Dave Havent they grown ! and they look like they are having a great time with you too
  9. We don't know that yet KAZ. I have had a male birds cere turn brownish when he was sick. I forgot what is was, but cere does change colour sometimes. SHE :budgiedance: :budgiedance:
  10. As you assemble those sheds you can move the door. Are you going for that shed for what reason ? Size, price ? What room would you have in the garden for it ? Parent consent ? or do you have to work on them Another thing to consider is.............most garden sheds are low roofs....6 ft or so =2m. The lower the roof the hotter it gets in there. Try aiming for a higher roof shed................like 2.4m or 8 ft if you can. MINIMUM. Do you have shade where it will go ?
  11. I dont think anything major is wrong SHE may have caught her toes in the cage and what you are seeing is bruising healing the way bruises do. and SHE looks healthy and happy and SHE had better have a girly name cos SHE is definitely a girl budgie
  12. The door I mean is in the middle of a wall at the front to the left of your measurement Gotcha
  13. whats the middle two sections and how come a door is going through the middle of them and a wall ? and as cockatiels are bigger birds how come the tiel aviary is smaller than the budgie one ?

  18. Thankyou Catherine.........its good info to absorb and work through. Hi Kaz, It might be a tumor inside his tummy (eg. kidneys, liver). I had a budgie with similar symptoms, but it started in only one leg. The tumor put pressure on the leg nerves and paralysed him :-(....but I hope it is not a tumor but an infection like nubbly said. I know about things like that BUT usually it makes them draw up a leg and sit cocked sideways not affect both feet and no legs.
  19. Please post photos ............link in my signature on how to do that
  20. If all your aviary access can be made from inside the birdroom then the birdroom becomes your safety area and no need for extra aviary space taken up by safety door sections. Check out my aviary
  21. Thankyou Catherine.........its good info to absorb and work through.
  22. Exciting times ahead. One suggestion... if it were me, I'd ditch the safety door and gain access to both flight internally. (as you mention access will be availble anyway) This way you use the internal building as a safety area and your budgie flight will be bigger. Agree with Maesie. My aviaries are only accessible through my birdroom which of course acts as a safety area too. ***On your drawing...........which is the new parts and which is the existing ? Can you redraw showing the difference ?
  23. Sounds good. There is a link in my signature saying how to post pictures if you want.
  24. We don't know that yet KAZ. I have had a male birds cere turn brownish when he was sick. I forgot what is was, but cere does change colour sometimes. Cere has been previously described as LIGHT BLUE changing to brown not boys bright darker blue changing to brown. I still say its a female.
  25. Thanks Nubbly I will do that now as a vet is a few days away and he is a special bird. PS droppings seem normal as does he so far
