  1. NO............you still have to go through a pet carrier service....like Australia Air Express, Jetpets, Toll or whatever
  2. Can you replace a roof sheet with a clear one ?
  3. This may just be about change of routine from what used to happen to whats happening now. Might need a little more time than is usual. Our tame Princess parrot took longer to bond to his hen and to see her as a partner for breeding than all the other princess parrots. Others have chicks already and his hen has only just started laying her eggs. She was begging to be fed from him for a couple of weeks before he picked up on the signs. Havent seen them mating but thats not unusual............I have many eggs and chicks without seeing signs of mating
  4. You must be terribly distraught over this. Obviously something has struck them down................I'd be using triple C, sulpha avs, or psittavet or doxyvet in the drinkers as soon as you can.
  5. Well designed and very nice. Does it have two levels ? How much was it ?
  6. No..........this is rare. I have a lot of cocks who sit beside their incubating hens. One cock who used to incubate the eggs while the hen was out stretching her legs, and others that feed the newborns from day one.
  7. hope the little one comes through and not too damaged. I had a cock like that once....he removed two chicks from the nest and stuffed them through the bars of the cage and wedged in the drinker like he was giving them back to me.
  8. Jason, are you keeping them both in the breeding cage together and NOT letting him out ? Because if you are letting him out as a tame budgie and your friend ......................he wont be able to focus on the job at hand.
  9. Plucka is doing really well
  10. also on VIRGIN airlines now too.
  11. Photos of the dad in the nest feeding his babies. Smokey is a very good dad and he will do the majority of the feeding. 5 babies in this nest last time I counted them
  12. If he wasnt so good you would have felt like wringing his neck. Hope the chick isnt too damaged. Fingers crossed for the rest of the clutch
  13. Well..........our human bonded princess parrot has managed ...........and his hen currently has three eggs. Yet to candle them.
  14. :rolleyes::rofl::rofl::rofl:
  15. Ken would look good in one of those robes maybe with a light globe sticking out of his mouth. My gay uncle was a franciscan friar in his early years and wore those robes. He tells me they make great wall decorations pinned up and spread out.
  16. Merged this "new" topic with the earlier topic. When something is the same .....please use add reply instead of starting a new topic to cover things already discussed in an earlier topic.
  17. The dark dead chick just looks like some do when they arent found as quickly as others. Apart from that I have no answers for you on the colour of the body. BUT when things go " pear shaped" in nests I immediately put Triple C in the water to cover any infections going on. It seems to help. this article might be worth re reading deficiencies in vitamins And Nutrition, Cause and Effect With Eggs and Chicks but its mostly about deaths in shell not after. PS Syringes are cheaply and easily bought at chemist shops.
  18. The yellow ones are very expensive, but the greens and blues are less so. One of the easiest parrots to tame. They seem naturally bonded to humans. One tame one in an aviary and the others watch and become tame too. We have greens and blues breeding too. Minimum space for a Princess would be a 3 by 3 metre aviary.
  19. 8 Princess Babies now and two of them will be yellows Like this as two babies have red eyes.
  20. You had better stop saying HE because they are girls
  21. Nestbox photos
  22. I suggest you get someone you trust........give them a list and your money and let them try and bid for you
  23. Link to the details http://www.budgerigar.com.au/National%202011%20Flyer.htm No pet type budgies for sale but chatting may get you some contacts.
  24. I think the calcium and vitamins would be fine in the water together.
