  2. Yes it was in the Magazine

Oh wow how exciting!! We have given up on our Princess pair, they really seemed to be doing nothing. Our Barrabands bred last year though and the hen has gone to nest again just recently. The Kings arent doing much, still looking and not doing, but I cant give up the Kings lol We have nine Princess Babies right now
  5. No, I dont have a trophy room

Thanks for posting these photos ... They look great. Well fed babies. I love seeing red eyes in a nest. PS Kens princesses have got three red eyed babies in the nest too.
  7. We had the Brasea Show here today, so I took some photos for you. A BBC member's lovely Cinnamon that got on the top bench ( I love this bird ) Another BBC members beautiful grey hen A Cec and Brenda Gearing Recessive pied A very nice golden face Excellent opaline hen My Dilute ( Won Best Dilute and Best Rare Variety in Show ) My Dom Pied ( won best dom pied ) My Cobalt ( won best Cobalt ) Also won Best Spangle but have no photo for him other awards I really like the handpainted budgie awards I got...they are so cool
  8. No...cant be cut down.
  9. My security doors...steel and powdercoated. Here is a close up of the type of door Very, very strong, lockable $89 in Bunnings
  10. Re doors. I bought some lightweight flyscreen doors for my previous aviary and I just put aviary mesh on them for the security doors.
  11. Caravan windows are like that. http://www.jessiecasson.com/blog/wp-conten...van_window1.jpg
  12. Do what I did in my flights..............go to a salvage yard and buy an aluminium sliding window of the size you want and rig up framing and fit it. Sliding windows are weather proof and you fit aviary mesh to one side of it. Some caravan windows also work.
  13. As others have said........pictures needed. Another point to make isYou bought home budgies from the pet store and put them straight down to breed in an aviary with a nestbox.............. Any idea of ages when you did that ?? Any idea of condition when you did that ?? Any idea of previous breeding history when you did that ?? If it was female and in breeding condition the cere would be brownish just like any other female in breeding condition. A male lutino has a pink cere its whole life. Photos needed. How experienced was this budgie breeder and especially did he know about lutinos ceres.
  14. New

Before the GREEN TAIL is established as fact, lets have some close up pictures in normal daylight.
  15. Congratulations PS dont HOPE its getting fed. Check to see and be sure .....you should have done that when you picked it up Read this http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...&artlang=en
  16. No close up photos or proof of this yet They said the hen was green tailed I still want to see a close up picture of that bird. The people are inexperienced and we still have yet to see a large close up picture of the bird. This one doesnt convince me of the green tail yet
  17. Well said...............calm objectivity in a sea of frustration No close up photos or proof of this yet
  18. Keel bone not kneel bone
  19. You most likely wont find it amongst show breeders as it is a composite bird not a bird show breeders in a club would be trying to breed. You need to find a pet breeder who dabbles in this or you need to create it yourself by buying in some breeding birds to create a rainbow in stages. It may take some time
  20. Like I said before..........I feel a lot of advice we give you is wasted if you have your parents making opposing decisions for your birds. You may as well not ask us and just let them do what they like.
  21. Weight is one thing, feeling the bodyweight and plumpness or otherwise of a bird is another. Feel them more than rely on weighing.
  22. I have a clear sheet ( opal white ) on my birdroom roof. In summer I put a lattice panel on top of it. The lattice panel is covered with shade cloth. On for summer and off for winter. Just sits up there
