  1. Shame, I didn't know there is not good chance fot him to get better, I would never let him go through it - it took about 2 weeks before he died . Every morning before I went to school I would go to him, clean his eyes, nose, etc., that's all I thought I could do. Hope I'll never have to watch something like this again
  2. They are both so cute :hap:
  3. Wow, that's a good cat
  4. It must be so cool to be able to help so many animals. I love the little doggy's story When I was younger I used to have a rabbit called Mandy and he got myxomatosis. We normally vaccinate them against it, but I was told it must be done in Autumn and it was late when I got him, so I would vaccinate him the following year, but he got it :budgiedance: . I will never forget what it does to a rabbit - I assume it attacks the brain or the nerves, as he got mad and was hitting the walls, jumping around. He also had a lot of "fester" coming out of his eyes and nose. Pure guy, I loved him so much, if I knew he will have to go through all this, I would rather have him put to sleep. But the vet told me he will be fine and I believed him He lasted two weeks then he died, I was actually happy for him to die - no more pain Can you treat myxomatosis somehow? I was told there is no treatment, I just have to wait. He said it will get worse and then it shoud start getting better, but Mandy never got to the "better" stage

Thank you everybody I must have the plaster for another 3 weeks , I hope Benny will wait, as I really don't want to be giving birth with a plaster . Now when I got "the nesting instinct", I'm not able to do anything and I have to lay down I don't remember if I told you - two weeks ago the doctor was counting Benny's weight and he is apperantly about 2,4kg (or was two weeks ago), which is quite a lot :budgiedance: , he is probably going to be a big boy . He is about two weeks ahead. Hope he is not planning to be too big :(Laughing out loud): . I didn't get any new scans, as he is too big now and there would be nothing much to see. But I will be seeing him soon anyway
  8. They are very good photos !!! :budgiedance:

Hi everybody I wasn't here for some time... Things are a bit difficult right now... I broke my ankle and I have a plaster, so I have to be in bed and cannot really do anything. But luckily nothing happened to my belly And I lost a couple of my budgies due to mice. We are fighting them all the time, but they seem to always find a way into the aviary. Hope we get them away from the budgies soon Just wanted to say hello and hope you are well !!!
  14. Thanks . I'm due 9th April, so not long to go
  15. :(Laughing out loud): I didn't really help much - I hardly fit in there now, as I'm 7months pregnant . My husband and his brother did it for me I love the smell of pine - it smells great . The opaline budgie is Juli - from my signature. Here are some more pics of her (she looks a bit chubby, but she has a hormonal problem, so she looks like this all the time ) Thanks, the baby and I are fine . I'm getting all things ready, so I don't stress later. But it's much better to be home now, I can sleep more, etc. Thank you all for your replies
  16. Finally we fixed the budgie's aviary wall. They've been digging holes in the wall like crazy, fighting over them and trying to nest in the holes - even "the boy" couples . I even had a couple of attacks and had some of the budgies bleeding. But now they seem to be okay (very angry with me , but okay). They might bite the wood, but I'm watching them and will probably put some wire over it later. Here is a picture and one cute one of Snow Flake resting
  17. They are very good drawings :budgiedance:

Thank you It took me ages to convince myself to post them, I'm not too brave . I stopped working on wednesday (my doctor left me at home already), but nothing serious . So now I get more time to prepare everything and I also have more time for my birds - I need to work out how to put mesh on the aviary wall, as they are digging holes more and more. And covering with wood doesn't work anymore Norm - no stripes yet, maybe when I get older they'll grow
  20. She is beautiful Norm
  21. He is gorgeous !!! Speaks so clearly
  22. I've had the same thing happening here. One of my budgies got caught in there. After that I've removed all the middle feeders and I didn't have any problems since. Most of these cheap soft plastic toys are very dangerous
  23. Hi and welcome
