Newbie Question
Hello , my budgies chew everything whats in their cage, they love to chew ropes a lot. There are many kinds - maybe you get some which are not that easy to chew.

Getting Scared At Night
I have them on my balcony, and I cover them for the night too, but I always leave the side by my windows uncovered, so when they get scared and fly around, I can just turn on a small light and they can see and calm down. I'm thinking about putting a fish tank light near them, so they have some light at night, it doesn't shine too much and doesn't take too much of electrocity.

Getting Scared At Night
Yes, they are outside. But they are on the balcony - next to my bedroom's windows, so when I put the light by the window inside, it's okay for them. Anyway they will go back inside soon, it's getting too cold.

Yes, I'll try to find some light which doesn't shine too much, but gives them some light. Thanks Nerwen

Lettuce
And lettuce from a shop is sprayed with chemicals very often which is dangerous for birds. My budgies love lettuce too, they always roll in it

Getting Scared At Night
Sometimes I wake up at night, because my budgies get scared or something and fly around their cage like mad. I must turn the light on and wait for them to sit and calm down again. Often I just leave a small light on, so they can see. It's really worrying me, I don't want them to kill themself. Do you always leave some light for your budgies at night? Last time I went to my vet, she told me, that there are problems with lutinos and albinos very often (because the unnatural colour). That they panic easily and are scared at night a lot. One of my budgies is a lutino. What do you think about it?

Pics Of My Friendly Girls
Thanks Kirby , yes it's the same cage. Do you think it's too small for them :fear ? They look okay in it - fly around the whole day. They look happy in there I can't really take new pics, the cage is outside for the summer in a special "weather proof conservetory" and there is no much space to take distance picture. I'm planning to build them a big aviary (double, outside for summer and inside for winter) as soon as we move to our own place. But for now, do you really think this one is tooo small for them? :yellowhead:

Pics Of My Friendly Girls
It's so cool, I never tried to tame my budgies much, but 3 of my budgies (all females) are so friendly, they jump on my arm when I put it in the cage and walk around . Just Pipi the pied always bites till I give her something . Here are some photos - some of them are blurry, sorry :yellowhead: The pied is Pipi, and the green budgie is Timy (the one who was sick because she has eaten too much sand), she wasn't this friendly before Here is just Timy Pipi and Tipieca (she is similar to Timy but a bit darker)

okay, I hope he's better soon. Don't forget to tell the vet you have more budgies - they will probably need to be treated all (if it's mites).
